How to Get Away With Murder has ended, but the show’s stars — including Viola Davis, Aja Naomi King, Conrad Ricamora and more — have remained on our screens.
The ABC series, which aired from 2014 to 2020, followed a defense attorney who becomes involved in a complex murder plot alongside her five law students. How to Get Away With Murder starred Davis, King, Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Karla Souza, Matt McGorry and more.
After How to Get Away With Murder ended, the costars remained close — and have even shared the screen in other various projects. Falahee spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about the cast’s bond, sharing in March 2025, “We stopped filming shortly before the COVID pandemic. So especially in those early days, we were really relying on each other since we became a family. We were sort of a support group for one another through that really difficult time for the world at large.”
Falahee called the experience “a light in the darkness,” adding, “To have the final season of the show be airing and for us to be on our group chat and sharing memories with one another. It’s not often in our industry that you do get to work with people again. … I definitely subscribe in this line of work that I know it is unlikely that I’ll get to work with people again — but I desperately hope to.”
The actor got the chance when he joined King’s NBC series Grosse Pointe Garden Society. When the show premiered in February 2025, King discussed how her time playing Michaela on HTGAWM would be referenced on Grosse Pointe Garden Society.
“There might be a thing or two in there that’s going to feel like a definite nod,” she teased. “That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to do Grosse Pointe Garden Society in the first place. There was an aspect of it that just felt like nostalgia. It was giving off those How to Get Away With Murder and Desperate Housewives vibes. It’s just like a warm hug watching this show because of how familiar it is.”
