I’m a big saver. There’s always more to save, whether it’s money, time, energy or even calories. It becomes increasingly difficult to save at this time of year when the themes are gifting, treats and gatherings, but I’ve found a hack to save time, money, energy and calories just by switching out my a.m. java habit. It seriously feels like a cheat code!

Instead of marching on down to my local coffee shop for an overpriced cup of joe, I’m making even better coffee drinks at home. They taste just as good — if not better — and don’t have any the artificial flavors, sugars and calories that plague Starbucks classics. It’s all thanks to this naturally sweetened vanilla syrup that tastes like a dream.

It’s (almost) the most wonderful time of the year! While we aren’t putting up our Christmas trees and baking cookies quite yet, we’re gathering our decorations, writing our holiday lists, gift shopping and sending invites for the cozy gatherings to come. There’s no time like the present to get a head start! In our diligent […]

This syrup is sweetened with monkfruit, stevia and erythritol, so it’s low-carb and keto-friendly, too! And for the lactose-intolerant crew (hello!), the formula is made without any dairy products. By the taste, however, you’d never know that this stuff is actually good for you. It tastes rich and smooth, especially in a well-brewed cup of coffee, but also in endless other beverages and foods!

Versatile is an understatement with this syrup. I’ve been mixing it into overnight oats, protein shakes, plain Greek yogurt, homemade ice cream and more, but some reviewers get ultra-creative, putting it in baked goods, smoothies, teas and even cocktails. And despite having “13 servings” per bottle, I’ve found it has more like 40 servings. 13 servings assume a two-tablespoon serving size, which would be way too vanilla-ey in most concoctions. One tablespoon for coffee and a half tablespoon for yogurt, oats and protein shakes is plenty!

The vanilla bean flavor is subtle enough yet prominent without the icky aftertaste of some sugar-free syrups. It isn’t a seasonal flavor, which I like, but you can add in some pumpkin spice powder and milk if replicating a PSL is on your wishlist! I plan to experiment with peppermint extract this winter for a festive winter latte.

And it’s not just me who’s obsessed with this syrup. One reviewer calls it a “godsend” while another says the brand “needs to apologize in advance” for “putting all the Starbucks and Dunkin’ baristas OUT OF BUSINESS”, noting they haven’t stepped foot in a coffee shop since trying this syrup. Same!

At just $5, there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain. Once you start saving $100 a month on lattes, you’ll see why!
