Influencer Haley Kalil shut down rumors that she’s currently dating Austin Butler, while joking that she’s open to the possibility in the future.

The TikTok star — who goes by “haleyybaylee” online — was wrongly linked to the Caught Stealing actor when fans speculated that she might be a blonde woman spotted with Butler in viral footage of a recent dinner date. A spokesperson for Kalil later told TMZ that the woman in the viral video was not actually the influencer.

“It’s not me, but I wish it was,” Kalil, 33, also humorously admitted to the outlet. “Austin, my DMs are open.”

Fans have been trying to identify Butler’s latest love interest ever since he split from longtime girlfriend Kaia Gerber in January after three years of dating. Multiple media outlets confirmed that the pair had gone their separate ways when they spent the holidays apart. (Gerber has since started dating Thunderbolts* star Lewis Pullman, with the pair sharing some PDA on the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival on September 2.)

Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber‘s relationship became a topic of conversation in late 2021 — and continued to draw fans in until their split in late 2024. Butler and Gerber first sparked romance rumors in December 2021 after they were spotted attending a yoga class together. At the time, a source exclusively revealed to Us […]

More recently, Butler, 34, was photographed cozying up to Caught Stealing costar Zoë Kravitz on a night out with mutual friends at the Dragon bar in Paris on August 21. Kravitz is casually seeing Harry Styles, whom she has been spotted spending time with.

Prior to his romance with Gerber, Butler was with High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens between 2011 and 2019. He told Esquire in February 2024 that he felt “so much love and care for” Hudgens, 36, despite their split five years earlier.

Meanwhile, this isn’t actually the first time Kalil has been caught up in social media speculation this year. In May, she responded to a viral video erroneously claiming that she had been “found dead.”

“I mean, RIP I guess?” she joked in response to the death hoax.

She later shared a satirical memorial montage via Instagram, along with the tongue-in-cheek caption: “Forever in our hearts. Haleyybaylee. August 6, 1992 – May 25, 2025 I guess. Cause of Death: maybe foul play idk yet. A funeral service will be held this week whenever I have time because I think I’m still alive so bring gifts.”

Haley — who was married to former NFL star Matt Kalil from 2015 to 2022 — has amassed more than 15 million TikTok followers and 2.1 billion “likes” since joining the app in October 2022. She has developed a signature brand of funny interviews with celebrities at events like the Golden Globes and the Grammys.

“It’s been crazy,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in March about her social media fame. “I never thought when I made an Instagram back in the day, and, like, was choosing my username, and I chose one with like 10 e’s and 6 y’s, and I thought nobody’s ever gonna see it.”

The influencer added of her TikTok’s specific appeal, “I think for me, social media came into my life in a way that I never expected. And I think it’s coming into people’s lives in ways they never expected because it’s also new. And I think we’re at that time where we’re figuring it out. But I also think at the same time, this world is so much more accessible to people who maybe didn’t grow up in this world.”
