Kane Brown didn’t mind being overshadowed by Taylor Swift at Travis Kelce’s Tight Ends & Friends concert.

Brown, 31, took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 25, to share a glimpse of his surprise duet with Swift, 35, in Nashville, writing, “When you think you’re the special guest BUT you’re not 😂.”

The country singer was joined by Swift on Tuesday, June 24, after Sophia Scott, Graham Barham, Chase Rice, Jordan Davis and Luke Combs performed at the Brooklyn Bowl event, which was part of Kelce’s Tight End University program taking place in Tennessee.

Brown teased to the crowd at the end of his set that there was a “really, really special guest” ready to take the stage. Swift then emerged and did a rendition of her hit “Shake It Off” with Brown.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are all anyone can talk about. Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. “I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I […]

In addition to showing support for Kelce, whom she has been dating since 2023, Tuesday’s performance marks Swift’s first since announcing last month that she bought back her masters.

Swift was rerecording her first six albums after her masters were sold to Scooter Braun in 2019. She released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, followed by Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Swift had two rerecords left to announce — 2016’s Reputation and her 2006 self-titled debut — when news broke that she is now the official owner of her masters.

“All the times I was this close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through. I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away,” Swift wrote in a lengthy letter shared via her website in May. “That’s all in the past now. I really get to say these words: All of the music I’ve ever made now belongs to me.”

Braun, 44, reacted to the news in a statement to Us Weekly, saying, “I am happy for her.”

Swift has currently been spending quality time with Kelce amid the NFL offseason. The couple were spotted together at Tight End University’s opening night party on Monday, June 23, which also served as their red carpet debut. Kelce, who founded the event with fellow tight ends George Kittle and Greg Olsen, was seen packing on PDA with Swift in fan footage shared via social media.

Kelce, who will kick off his 13th season with the Kansas City Chiefs this fall, celebrated opening night with a message to attendees.

“Don’t be afraid to shake some hands, meet everybody,” he said in a video posted by Tight End University via Instagram on Tuesday. “The event is so unique because you get to see everybody outside of the facemask, man.”
