Kate Beckinsale is hitting back against those who dare to criticize her body.
The actress, 51, took aim at her followers who made unsolicited comments about what she looked like via a recent, since-deleted Instagram post.
“It’s not a criticism, but I think you’ve lost too much weight lately,” one follower commented on Tuesday, December 31.
An unimpressed Beckinsale hit back at the comment, describing the opinion as “unnecessary.”
“If it’s not a criticism, it’s a passive aggressive completely unnecessary opinion from someone I don’t know who knows nothing about my circumstances,” she fumed. “So next time you feel like commenting on someone’s body, I suggest you keep it to your f–king self.”
Other comments on the post also generated clap backs from the Canary Black star.
“Gaining a little fatter [sic] doesn’t hurt,” wrote another commenter, to which Beckinsale hit back with: “Not all of us want titties like yours.”
Beckinsale also didn’t hold back when someone else wrote, “Esta muy delgada. todo bien el casa?” ( translated to “She’s very thin. Is everything OK at home?”). She replied, “Everything is absolutely great. f— off.”
Yet another person endured Beckinsale’s wrath when they questioned, “What happened with K.beckinsale?”
The actress responded, “She’s dead. So please send donations and flowers to @refugecharity and I rescind happy New Year. Happy New Year to everyone but you.”
It’s not the first time Beckinsale has been left unimpressed by body shamers commenting on her weight and looks.
Beckinsale came out swinging against a troll in July when they criticized her shape after the actress posted a photo of herself in a swimsuit via Instagram.
“Go do some squats I think your ass ran away,” the troll wrote.
The Underworld star didn’t hold back in her response to the troll and shared insight into what had contributed to her rapid weight loss.
“I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief quite quickly,” she wrote.
She went on to reveal she spent “six weeks” in the hospital after her grief “burned a hole in [her] esophagus,” causing her to “vomit copious amounts of blood.”
“I’m not really concerned what you think of my ass,” she concluded.
Beckinsale’s stepfather, director Roy Battersby, died at age 87 in January 2024 from a brief illness. At the time, she shared an obituary for him via her Instagram Story and confirmed his death.
“It is with great sorrow that the family of film and television director Roy Battersby announce the news of his recent death after a brief period of illness,” read the statement. “He passed away peacefully on 10 January 2024, in Los Angeles surrounded by family, aged 87. Funeral will be held in London, details to follow.”
