Despite her husband being the starting quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams, Kelly Stafford is still struggling with getting tickets to his games on her phone.
Following the Rams’ dramatic 20-17 win over the Chicago Bears in the NFL Divisional Playoffs on Sunday, January 18, Kelly lamented about how much effort it took to even get inside Chicago’s Soldier Field.
“Honestly though … this whole you have to download the other teams app to get your tickets to the game is getting a little absurd,” she shared via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 20.
Kelly, 36, wrote the caption alongside a screenshot of her phone background, which showed she had downloaded the official Chicago Bears app in order to obtain her tickets.
The screenshot also showed Kelly had 103 missed calls, likely the result of husband Matthew Stafford’s nailbiting victory on Sunday, which secured the Rams’ place in the NFC Championship Game.
Kelly’s phone background is a photo of Matthew, 37, embracing the couple’s four daughters — twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5 — after a recent game.
Kelly and the girls have been a constant presence at Rams games all season, including the playoff game in Chicago.
“Anyone else feel like the stress of these games is shaving years off your life??!” Kelly wrote via Instagram after the victory.
With Matthew’s football future uncertain — there is talk he might retire following his MVP-caliber performance this season — Kelly has made it a focus for her family to see him play in person as much as possible.
“Year 17 regular season is complete,” Kelly shared via Instagram on January 7. “Never thought I would see the day I would go to every game and bring my daughters to 15 out of 17, but I’m so glad I did. What a season to witness in person. The passion for football it instilled in my daughters (now all of [them] want to play QB on a girls flag football team) is so fun to see, but also for them to start to understand how hard work and dedication pays off. We all needed that lesson.”
She continued, “Watching their dad fail, realizing it’s ok, and it’s how you respond to that failure that makes up who you are. Incredibly blessed to witness the man I love, with the girls I love, do the thing he loves most ❤️Now onto the next, playoffs baby!”
In a social media post reflecting on 2025, Kelly said she was looking forward to braving the future with Matthew “knowing that we will be facing it together.”
“People might not feel the same, but I need my husband,” she wrote via Instagram before the new year. “Because the life and family we’re building weren’t designed to be carried alone. I bring the heart, the warmth, the feeling of home. He brings the strength behind it — the long days, the unseen sacrifices, the protection and provision that allow our moments of joy to exist.”
Matthew, the Rams and the entire Stafford crew travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, January 25.
