Like a lion and keeping consistent with that apex predator energy all the way through, March is easily the most intense month of 2K25.

Kicking it off, Venus, our planet of wealth and worth, begins its backslide in the quick-tempered, desire-driven sign of Aries on March 1, where it will meddle with our sense of wealth and worth, romantic relationships and earning potential.

March marks the transition from winter to spring and water (Pisces) to fire (Aries).

On March 13th-14th, we’ll have a blood moon lunar eclipse in Virgo that will roll out the red carpet for chaos. The move during eclipse season is to observe, allow stand steady and breathe deep but don’t fight the winds of change that are intent on blowing the godd–n doors off of the stasis of yourlife.

Also on March 14th, Mercury, our planet of communication and expression, will begin its retrograde in Aries, a slash-and-burn style of exchange that will lend an instinctual, instigatory, react rather than respond flavor to interpersonal communications through April 7th.

On March 20th, we welcome the spring/vernal equinox and open the hell mouth of Aries season.

Fresh blood, new buds and the visceral violence of renewal, here, here.

On March 27th, Venus retrograde backstrokes into the glitter drain of Pisces, and the mutable signs are apt to fall back into the honey trap of a toxic ex or an overplayed dream.

Look alive and guard your heart meat.

Then, on March 29th, in cahoots with the new moon, we have a partial solar eclipse in Aries, bringing out themes of impatience, ambition, level 11 infernal intensity and the need to (cue the Queen) break free.

On March 30th, Neptune, our planet of dreams, delusions, romantic pedestalling and fool’s gold, enters Aries.

With so many celestial bodies moving in and out of Aries and Pisces this month, the time is nigh for spiritual revolution, compassionate leadership and metaphorical lightsabers, fighting consciously for a better tomorrow and an equitable, pleasurable playing field for one and all.

Pisces/Aries is boiling water, the marriage of intuition and action, the ephemeral and the abrupt, conflict (Aries) in the name of connection (Pisces).

Play ball.

Iva Naskova, an astrologer and relationship guide at Nebula, a spiritual guidance platform that braids together astrological insights and practical insights, is on hand to share the best ways to handle the firepower of this month, specifically the destabilizing influence of Venus retrograde.

With a mess of planets in Aries, including Venus, ram folk are invited to reevaluate who they are and how they move through and make their mark on the world.

According to Naskova,

“This is a time to pause and evaluate key areas of your life, including finances, love and career. Patience and introspection will serve you well. Financially, reassessing your values can help you develop smarter money habits and prioritize budgeting over impulsive spending. In love, a familiar face from the past may resurface, but before reopening that door, take a moment to truly consider what’s best for you.”

In honor of your solar return, I humbly suggest you start a new spark rather than breathe in the smoke of an old flame.

For Taurus, the abundance of Aries energy activates their 12th house of unconscious motivations and self-sabotage. Time to take your skeletons out of the closet and out for a walk, bull babies.

Naskova explains, “This is a time to confront unresolved matters head-on. Financial concerns you’ve been avoiding may resurface, bringing some discomfort but ultimately leading to clarity. In love, nostalgia may creep in, stirring up memories or even reigniting an unexpected romance. At work, staying motivated might be a challenge as self-indulgence tempts you – so pace yourself to steer clear of unnecessary setbacks. Embrace this time as an opportunity for growth and resolution.”

I have a challenge for my Taurus brethren this month and throughout this Venus retrograde. Buck the system by resolutely committing to not buying anything beyond your basic needs. Get curious about ways you can feel richer without having to earn or work more. May the force of the frugal be with you.

For Gemini, Naskova maintains loose ends and curious leads will dominate the month ahead.

“Unresolved matters from the past may resurface unexpectedly, particularly in your relationships and career. Friendships may develop romantic undertones, so set clear boundaries if your feelings aren’t mutual. Regarding finances, review your investments and tread carefully with joint ventures. Professionally, a past employer may reach out with an opportunity or you might get the chance to collaborate with a close friend. Stay open to new possibilities, but approach them with clarity and intention.”

Make sure you want what wants you, gem.

Stand tall and stay true, but pipe the hell down, Cancer.

“This is a time to act with discretion and let your actions speak for themselves. In both love and career, maintaining privacy will serve you well. Be mindful of overspending, especially if it’s fueled by a need to impress others. In relationships, keeping your romantic life low-key can help protect your happiness. Your reputation at work may face extra scrutiny, so be mindful of your words and actions to avoid misunderstandings. Trust that patience and restraint will work in your favor,” explained Naskova.

Restraint ain’t in your normal bag of tricks, but spring is springing moon child and there’s no better time to baptize yourself in better habits.

Hey Leo, pull back on material pleasures this month, as a spartan approach can pave the way to clarity.

“Keep the bigger picture in mind – things may not be as they seem. Your plans might be more expensive than expected, so having a financial backup plan will help you stay on track. In love, you might feel drawn to someone with a completely different background or perspective – take time to reflect on whether those differences fit into your long-term vision. At work, be selective about what you share with colleagues, as not everyone will play fair. Stay sharp and adaptable to navigate this phase smoothly.”

According to Naskova, a double dose of retrograde plus an eclipse in their sign this month might be mighty taxing on the Virgo contingent.

“Communication might be off, leading to misunderstandings in both work and personal life. Take time to clarify expectations and make sure everyone is on the same page.

When it comes to finances, reviewing shared expenses and investments will help prevent conflicts over budgeting.

In love, emotional distance may arise, making relationships feel strained, while single Virgos might find themselves avoiding romance altogether. At work, collaboration might feel more challenging than usual, as miscommunications could test your patience. Stay patient and focus on clear, open dialogue to navigate this period smoothly.”

Remember, my Virgo friends, avoidance is not a resolution and when it comes to riches and relationships and the riches of relationships, you have to invest to enjoy.

As Venus is your ruling planet, Libra, this month’s retrograde may hit you hard and where it hurts.

Naskova explains, “In love, this retrograde could bring some turbulence – avoid making significant decisions, like ending a relationship or getting back with an ex, until it’s over, as Venus’s influence could cloud your judgment. At work, it’s a good time to reassess your professional relationships and cut ties with anyone who’s taking advantage of you.”

Use the reflective energy of this retrograde to form a priority pyramid of your needs in both professional and personal relationships. If you feel resentful or enraged, there’s a strong chance things need to change. Yet, conflict can pave the way to peace if you commit to clear and respectful communication.

Balance is the operative word for you during these turbulent times, Scorpio.

Naskova expounds, “Stress from both work and relationships could test your patience. Make your well-being a top priority. Neglecting self-care could result in unexpected medical expenses. In love, your relationship might feel out of balance. Before making any rash decisions, take time to have an honest conversation with your partner and find common ground. At work, you may feel frustrated by colleagues or your boss – stay calm and measured to avoid saying or doing something you’ll regret later.”

Remember that all things change and nothing lasts and there’s rarely any harm in sleeping on something before you exile or exhume it.

Naskova cautions that restlessness may give rise to recklessness for Sagittarius folk.

March might, “prompt impulsive decisions in both love and work, so channel your energy into creative outlets. Financially, your hobbies, side projects or business ventures might need additional funding. Take time to evaluate whether it’s a wise investment before moving forward. In love, you may crave excitement, but be mindful of your partner’s feelings. Avoid overindulging in distractions or pleasures. At work, consider taking a fresh approach to your tasks – overcoming creative blocks could lead to new insights.”

If you can manage to wrangle your restlessness and redirect it toward exploring an exciting prospect or project rather than a redheaded stranger or a game of chanc, you’ll be all the better for it and have much more to show for it come April.

With so much cardinal energy afoot this month, Capricorn, you will likely be both activated and weary.

“You may find yourself juggling demands from family, work and finances all at once. Focus on what truly matters and set clear boundaries. In love, family might get more involved in your relationship, so be sure to stand your ground and make decisions that are best for you.

At work, your work-life balance might be questioned and your loved ones may feel neglected. Take time to reassess and make adjustments to be present for important family moments,” explained Naskova

Remember that you need a source of sustenance to find and enjoy success, don’t starve your heart for the promise of an inedible dollar, sea goat.

Clear communication is a practice rather than a given this month, Aquarius.

“Double-check details before making big purchases or commitments to avoid unnecessary complications. In your love life, be mindful of how you express your aspirations and emotions, as your words might not come across as intended. At work, ensure your communication is precise, especially with both Venus and Mercury in retrograde, as they could cause confusion in your professional interactions.”

Fellow Aquarius Virginia Woolf argued, “I thought how unpleasant it is to be locked out; and I thought how it is worse, perhaps, to be locked in.”

With this in mind, water bearer, I encourage you to celebrate what makes you singular while doing your best to clearly and kindly express yourself to the muggles that abound and surround you.

This month stands to be a little murky for you Pisces babies, inviting reflection rather than action.

Naskova maintains, “It’s wise to hold off on making significant financial or romantic decisions until you gain a clearer insight into your true desires. In finances, consider pausing significant spending or investments, as delays may occur, prompting you to reassess your habits and make necessary adjustments.

In your love life, you may question what you truly need from a relationship and whether your current partner meets those expectations. However, wait until after Venus retrograde ends to make any major moves to avoid being swayed by temporary planetary influences. At work, if you’re feeling unfulfilled, this could be a time to reflect on your career path and explore other opportunities that align better with your passions.”

Ready your escape plan and your emotional “go bag,” but remain open to the possibility that everything could feel different tomorrow. Keep rocks in your pockets and a song in your heart my fish friends.
