Meghan Markle is sharing a touching family moment.
Taking to her Instagram account on Friday, January 16, Meghan, 44, shared a sweet black-and-white video of herself dancing with her husband Prince Harry, 41.
The clip was made even more special by a detail pointed out by the former Suits star in the caption – the footage was filmed by the couple’s daughter, Lilibet, 4. (The couple also share son Archie, 6.)
The Duchess of Sussex leaned into the current “2016” Instagram trend by sharing an unseen throwback photo of herself cozying up to Harry a decade ago.
“When 2026 feels just like 2016….you had to be there,” Meghan wrote. “🎥 cred: our daughter.”
The year was a poignant one for the couple as they began dating in 2016 before officially confirming their relationship the following year.
Meghan first publicly spoke about their relationship via a cover story for Vanity Fair that was published in September 2017.
“We’re a couple. We’re in love,” she told the magazine at the time. “I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”
In May 2018, Meghan and Harry tied the knot in an elaborate royal wedding at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, England.
The following year, the couple welcomed their first child, son Archie, who was born in May 2019. Their daughter Lilibet followed in June 2021 and was named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s childhood nickname.
After stepping away from being working royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan have kept their family life relatively private and have only shared snippets over the years.
They recently released a holiday card in December 2025 that showed a rare glimpse of the family, including Archie and Lilibet. The kids’ faces were obscured in the image that featured Archie with his arms wrapped tightly around Harry, who is cradling his son’s face. The picture also showed Meghan crouched down to Lilibet’s level and is touching foreheads with her daughter.
“Happy Holidays! From our family to yours,” Meghan wrote at the time as she shared the image via Instagram.
Meghan also pulled back the curtain slightly on her family life with the release of her With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration special on Netflix.
In the special, she spoke about some of the family’s Christmas traditions including making advent calendars for her kids, with each day featuring a treat or handwritten note from their mom.
“[It’s about] trying to really embrace and lean into making every day of that month special as you’re wrapping up a year,” Meghan said of the importance of an advent calendar. “But don’t feel like you have to do it all. Just embrace the special touches that bring you joy.”
