Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:), which rose 2.49% or 0.20 points to trade at 8.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) added 1.80% or 2.08 points to end at 117.66 and Gruma SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 1.69% or 5.74 points to 344.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 2.91% or 0.75 points to trade at 25.06 at the close. Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:) declined 2.38% or 1.27 points to end at 52.05 and Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV:) was down 1.95% or 0.99 points to 49.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 165 to 70 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.38% or 1.27 to 52.05. Shares in Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.95% or 0.99 to 49.87.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.74% or 19.70 to $2,671.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.95% or 1.34 to hit $70.09 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.96% or 1.43 to trade at $74.24 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.77% to 20.41, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 21.38.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 107.02.
