Stranger Things star Millie Bobbie Brown treated fans to the sweetest tribute in any dimension (even the Upside Down) in honor of costar Noah Schnapp — and looked fabulous doing it.
“Happy birthday to my bestest friend. Me and you against the world,” the actress, 21, captioned a photo in which she embraced her costar, who celebrated turning 21 on Friday, October 3.
Brown matched the wholesome vibes with an outfit that balanced comfort and style. She rocked a soft pink two-piece ensemble consisting of a crop top that flaunted her abs, and wide-legged drawstring pants that offered just the right hint of retro chill. She was all smiles, glowing in the sunlight while proving you don’t need telekinesis to stop traffic — just great fashion instincts.
Schnapp, for his part, kept it casual and cool in a white T-shirt and cargo pants paired with sneakers, looking ready for anything, whether it was a cake with candles for his milestone birthday or facing a Demogorgon.
The dynamic duo have practically grown up together in the spotlight, giving Us the perfect amount of nostalgia as viewers patiently wait for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of their hit show, Stranger Things.
Over the summer, Schnapp (who plays Will Byers) said fans should buckle up for a rollercoaster ride and prepare to grab their tissues as he and Brown (who portrays Eleven) prepare to bid a final adieu to their beloved characters.
“It’s beyond anything we’ve done yet,” he told E! News at Netflix’s Tudum live event in Los Angeles in June. “It’s so big and so intimate and so heartfelt and probably the most emotional work we’ve done.”
“The first day on set felt like any other thing, but the last day on set was really the craziest,” he shared in hindsight. “I’ll never forget that day. It was very sad and perfect.”
When asked who shed the most tears, he admitted, “Probably me.” Schnapp added, “I’m just so sensitive. I mean, everyone was crying. We all love each other, so it’s hard to part ways.”
However, he did note that fans will likely be “satisfied” with the finale, pointing out, “I was really nervous to see how it would end up, and I’m really happy with it.”
Brown said it was also a bittersweet experience for her “to say goodbye to my favorite crew members, to my favorite cast, my favorite directors I’ve ever been able to work with,” she told the outlet in February. “What a wonderful, wonderful production that I was able to be a part of.”
More recently, he gushed over Brown becoming a first-time mom.
“I’m just really happy for her,” Schnapp told E! News after the Florence by Mills Fashion creator and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, announced they welcomed a baby girl via adoption on Instagram on August 21. “I’m really excited to see her flourish with that.”
The couple is now enjoying parenthood after exchanging their vows in May 2024 following their April 2024 engagement.
Stranger Things season 5 premieres on Netflix with Volume 1 on November 26. Volume 2 won December 25, and the finale on December 31.
