A makeup artist who worked with the late Natasha Richardson shared a touching note from the actress’ widower, Liam Neeson, amid his new romance with Pamela Anderson.
Sandy Linter, a celebrity makeup artist who was responsible for doing Richardson’s funeral makeup in 2009, was inclined to share the personal letter from Neeson, 73, via Instagram on Saturday, August 2.
“I worked with Natasha Richardson several times,” Linter, 78, wrote alongside a photo of the letter from Neeson. “I got the news that she’d struck her head and died from the injury she sustained while skiing. I was asked to make her up while she was ‘lying in state.’ An Irish custom. She looked like a queen. 2 months later I got a call from Liam Neeson. I went to his apartment — he asked me if I were doing well. I said yes. And then he said, ‘I know what I’ll do,’ and he came back and handed me this note.”
She concluded her post, “He’s such a good guy. Like everyone else I’m so happy for him.
Can’t wait to see the movie 🎥#nakedgun.”
Linter’s post comes amid news of Neeson’s budding romance with his The Naked Gun costar Anderson, 58. A source exclusively confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 29, that the pair are, in fact, an item.
“Pamela and Liam are dating,” the source told Us, noting that the costars, who first met on set, “always had chemistry while they were filming and their friendship naturally developed into more.”
Neeson and Anderson are “learning how to navigate it together” as they continue to promote their new film, the insider added. “They are both shy and have tried to stay private but the spark between them is obvious.”
They seemingly have the approval of Anderson’s sons, Brandon Thomas Lee, 29, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 27, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee. “[They] love seeing her happy and fully approve,” the source said, adding that Brandon and Dylan “think Liam is great and have gotten to know him better in the last few months.”
Neeson and his children Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28, whom he shares with late wife Richardson, even posed with Anderson and her sons at the New York premiere of The Naked Gun on Monday, July 28.
“I thought, ‘Oh my God, she is so easy on the eyes,’” Neeson recalled thinking, telling Anderson in a joint People interview in July, “I was really taken with your ‘thereness.’ You were absolutely there. There was no [brushing me off], I knew we had kind of a chemistry from very early on.”
Anderson agreed there was a “chemistry right away” on set. “I was just curious where it was going to take us in the film,” she said. “It was really a nice start.”
Neeson and Anderson seemed to receive Natasha’s sister Joely Richardson’s seal of approval as well, with the actress sharing several “love heart “ emojis under Anderson’s carousel of photos with her brother-in-law.
The actor also has the support of Natasha’s friends, with Andy Cohen saying he ships Neeson’s relationship with Anderson.
“You know, Natasha was a dear friend of mine,” Cohen, 57, said on the Wednesday, July 30, episode of his show Radio Andy. “And I’m gonna tell you something: I and all of the friends in this circle are very much stanning whatever this is.”
Natasha died in 2009 at the age of 45 after sustaining a head injury during a ski accident.
“I speak to her every day at her grave which is about a mile and half down the road,” Neeson told Inquirer.Net in 2020. “I go down there quite often, so I do speak to her as if she’s here.”
