Outspoken Donald Trump critics Green Day have been tapped to play the Super Bowl opening ceremony, joining halftime performer Bad Bunny in another blow against MAGA loyalists.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has called the administration fascist and changed the lyrics to the band’s song “American Idiot” during live shows, from “I’m not a part of a redneck agenda” to “I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda.”

Last summer, Armstrong led a crowd at Download Festival in a chant calling Trump a “fat bastard.”

“We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard!” Armstrong, who hails from the Bay Area, said in a statement.

“We are honored to welcome the MVPs who’ve shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let’s have fun! Let’s get loud!”

The NFL’s choice of Puerto Rican-born Bad Bunny has already set off a firestorm, fueled by his criticism of Trump and his recent vow to avoid touring in the US out of concerns for his fans’ safety regarding ICE.

Trump condemned the decision back in October.

“I never heard of him, I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they’re doing it, it’s like, crazy,” he said of the Grammy winner.
