Nicole Kidman is paying homage to the past while she moves forward with her life amid her divorce from Keith Urban.
The Babygirl actress, 58, evoked Old Hollywood glamor on Sunday, October 26, as she opened the Vogue World: Hollywood runway show at the Paramount Studios lot in Los Angeles.
Kidman channeled iconic film star Rita Hayworth in the 1946 film Gilda, wearing a Chanel by Matthieu Blazy black satin bustier gown adorned with floral detailing. The outfit is inspired by a black dress Hayworth wore during in a musical number in Gilda. Kidman completed her lip with a glamorous red lip and smoky eyes, and wore her long blonde locks in loose curls.
The Oscar winner strutted her stuff on the runway to the song “Put the Blame on Mame,” which Hayworth performed as Gilda in the famous scene.
After Sunday’s event, Kidman shared some behind the scenes photos and videos from the event in an Instagram post. In one clip, she can be seen posing for photos with legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour while rocking her Chanel gown. Another candid snap shows her on the lot with Wintour and director Baz Luhrmann, who helmed Moulin Rouge!
“Celebrating film and fashion at Vogue World: Hollywood ❤️ Thank you to Anna, Baz, Matthieu and the entire Vogue World team!” she captioned the post, thanking Wintour, Luhrmann and Blazy, who designed her gown.
Sunday’s Vogue World: Hollywood marked a celebration of Hollywood and fashion, withe model Kendall Jenner paying homage to Kidman by wearing one of her outfits from the hit musical Moulin Rouge! on the runway.
Jenner, 29, wore a black and white corset gown studded with crystals, and a small black hat, as she walked the runway with her hands on her hips.
Sunday’s event marks Kidman’s latest show-stopping outing after her Kidman filed for divorce from estranged husband Urban late last month.
Earlier this month, Kidman was joined by the couple’s two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 — as she attended the Chanel womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show in Paris, just days after she filed for divorce.
Us Weekly confirmed on September 30 that the actress filed for divorce from Urban, also 58, after 19 years of marriage. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split in court documents. She requested to be “primary residential parent” of their two daughters.
A source told Us earlier this month, “They had been quietly separated for a while now but needed time to figure out if they were going to actually divorce. She had faith they could work it out.”
“This wasn’t Nicole’s decision, and she is devastated,” the insider added. “Her trust was lost, and it was too far gone. Nicole had been trying to get them to work on their marriage and did not want this to get out to the public. She didn’t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months.”
“Nicole and Keith were not on the same page,” the source said. “Rumors around town have been circling that they were living apart, were focused on their own projects and that Keith had moved on. They are moving in two different directions, and their worlds are not overlapping as much as they once did. The distance between them had grown more obvious recently.”
