Nicole Kidman stepped out with her wedding ring just four days before news broke of her split from Keith Urban.
The Oscar winner, 58, attended a Clé de Peau Beauté event in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 25, and was spotted wearing her original wedding band in photos obtained by E! News. Kidman, who appeared solo at the event, accessorized her black Vivienne Westwood gown with the vintage Cartier infinity band that Urban, 57, gave her at their 2006 wedding. (She also has an emerald-cut diamond set in platinum that she got in 2016.)
Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, September 30, that Kidman and Urban had separated after 19 years of marriage. The duo — who share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 — met in 2005, four years after Kidman’s divorce from Tom Cruise. The pair connected at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles and started dating months later. They tied the knot in Manly, Australia, the following year.
Neither Kidman nor Urban have publicly addressed their split. Us Weekly has reached out to their reps for comment.
While Kidman and Urban’s split came as a shock to some fans, others noticed they haven’t posted photos of each other on social media in months. Kidman last shared a snap of Urban in June when she celebrated their anniversary.
Urban, for his part, posted a photo of Kidman in May after the Academy of Country Music Awards, where he was honored with the Triple Crown Award. Kidman attended the awards show with her husband, who thanked her in his speech.
“I wanna thank the ACM Academy for this, and my wife, Nicole Mary, is here tonight,” he began. “I love you, baby girl. Our girls, Sunday and Faith, watching at home tonight, I love you both too.”
One month after the ACMs, Urban and Kidman attended their last public event together before their separation. The pair were photographed at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville on June 20.
Since then, Kidman has been filming Practical Magic 2 with Sandra Bullock, while Urban has been crisscrossing the globe on his High and Alive World Tour. His next date is scheduled for Thursday, October 2, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Last year, Urban revealed that he and Kidman faced a major struggle early on in their marriage while honoring her at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala.
“We got married in June 2006, and barely four months into our marriage, my addictions … that I’d done really nothing about, blew our marriage to smithereens,” he said in April 2024. “Four months into a marriage, I’m in rehab for three months. I had no idea what was going to happen to us … and if you want to see what love in action really looks like, give that a whirl.”
As Kidman wiped tears from her face, Urban added, “Nic pushed through every negative voice, I’m sure even some of her own, and she chose love. And here we are tonight, 18 years later.”
