Paris Hilton eyes potential run for political office after success advocating for at-risk youth bill

Reality television legend turned policy advocate Paris Hilton is entertaining the idea of running for elected office.

The heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune was a major booster of a youth welfare bill that passed in Congress — and has seemingly been bitten by the political bug.

“After coming here so many times over the past couple of years and seeing that my voice really can make a difference, and I can really shine a spotlight on things that are important around the world to make it a better place and safer for children,” Hilton told a reporter Wednesday according to The Hill.

“I can maybe see that happening,” Hilton added.

The “Simple Life” star is riding high after the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act was passed by the House and Senate last week.

“Today is a day I will never forget. After years of sharing my story and advocating on Capitol Hill, the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act has officially passed the U.S Congress,” Hilton wrote in a statement on X.

“This moment is proof that our voices matter, that speaking out can spark change, and that no child should ever endure the horrors of abuse in silence,” Hilton added, tagging conservative legislators Rep. Ro Khanna, Rep. Buddy Carter, Senator John Cornyn, and Senator Tommy Tuberville.

The legislation pushes for more transparency and accountability in youth residential programs and seeks to ensure teen facilities are “safe, supportive, and nurturing environments,” the bill’s website reads.

“I worked so hard on this bill the past couple years, just to be here today and see our bill passing Congress has been one of the most incredible moments of my life,” Hilton said last week, The Hill reported.

“This is just the beginning,” the mother of two reportedly said. “There’s definitely more to do. I will be coming back to D.C.”
