She had an absolutely retch-ed flight.
A Delta passenger’s travels took a turn for the worse after a fellow flyer projectile vomited on her — and the airline allegedly did little to help.
“The puke was gross, but the response by Delta was worse,” lamented Laura Juntgen while recounting the icky incident in a ten-minute TikTok video with over 260,000 views.
The flyer recounted how she was traveling home from New York on a flight with her daughter, who she was sitting with near a storage area at the back of the plane.
The airplane was reportedly preparing for takeoff, when a male passenger stood up and started “walking towards the back of the plane,” seemingly trying to access the lavatory, Juntgen recalled.
A flight attendant asked the flyer to return to his seat, but the traveler refused to budge. “He doesn’t move, he just stands there and he kind of has this funny look on his face,” the parent recalled.
When the crewmember repeated her command, the man looked to the ground, then to the side and then started “to cover his mouth.”
But before Juntgen could finish saying “Oh my gosh, he’s gonna puke,” the queasy rider projectile vomited all over her and the cabin.
“He covers his mouth to catch it, and it goes out the sides and showers down the right side of my body” recounted the aghast gal. “And I’m not talking just like liquid, this is like chunks and debris like hitting me, going down my side, on my armrest, on my coat, on my seat.”
“My pants start getting wet because it’s seeping under my butt,” added the revolted traveler, who said that there was a “waterfall of puke” covering the storage area as well.
She even uploaded a TikTok video featuring screenshots of the puke-splattered cabin, which evoked something out of an outbreak thriller.
Flight attendants subsequently alerted the pilot, who turned the plane back to the terminal so medical crews could board and handle the situation.
Unfortunately, despite donning masks and gloves, the flight attendants were largely MIA.
She said one eventually did come over and had her “‘two small towelettes and five cocktails napkins, “which did little to clean the mess.
As a result, Juntgen was left toweling her arm with her “bare hands” and trying not to puke herself.
Eventually, the cleaning crew boarded, whereupon the flyer and her daughter were moved to another section.
But she wasn’t offered any assistance beyond that, forcing her to wear “soaking-wet” clothes for the entire three-hour flight.
Upon arriving home, Juntgen filed a complaint with the airline. After waiting a week, she received a “textbook” response and a paltry $120 for her trouble
Coincidentally, the fed-up flyer did receive a call from an airline rep minutes after uploading the video, but was told that the “complaint was filed and addressed” and that “there was nothing more Delta could do.”
“Keep that in mind when you book your next flight… You may need to clean bodily fluids off of your body with your bare hands,” Juntgen snarked in the caption. “But don’t worry, they will credit your next flight $120 and tell you that gesture was already above and beyond.”
Commenters were appalled over her “Excorcist”-evoking saga with one writing, “OH.MY.GOD. I would’ve had to open the emergency door and fall to my death.”
“I would have been screaming as if someone was stabbing me,” said another.
A third wrote, “I’m not even gonna lie I love Delta Airlines but only 120 dollars after getting puked on is a scam and unreal.”
Many claimed that they wouldn’t have been able to cope due to their emetophobia, the irrational fear of vomiting or seeing others vomit.
“As an emetophobic person, I cannot stress how very much this is my WORST NIGHTMARE,” declared one. “Like, I would be in a full-blown panic attack.”
The Post has contacted Delta for comment.
