They’d reached a boozing altitude.
Passengers on a Ryanair flight were unexpectedly showered with booze after several bottles burst in the overhead bins during a bumpy landing, as seen in a TikTok video with 2.2 million views.
In the clip, cheekily captioned “POV: You fly Ryanair,” a hoodie-clad woman is seen drenched in the aisle while a stream of unidentified clear liquor waterfalls onto her and her belongings from the overhead bin.
Her neighbor, who is seated, is also visibly drenched by the leaking liquor, bringing new meaning to “flight of alcohol.”
The caption read, “The landing hit the ground so hard it broke 2 bottles of alcohol in the overhead locker and poured all over us but at least the seats were nice and clean.”
Commenters were bemused over their high-altitude booze baptismal.
“I’d be sitting there with my mouth open,” said one commenter, while another wrote, “So you’re telling me that’s an alcohol fountain and you’re running away????”
“Sometimes you just got to laugh,” said a third, to which the original poster replied, “It was so funny, just felt so bad for everyone.”
She added in the comments that everyone, including the flight attendants, were “laughing” along with them.
Some critics blamed the bottles’ owner for not storing them properly.
“That’s why we say that liquids have to go under the seat,” critiqued one.
Another wrote,” Not Ryanair’s fault, whoever packed it, obviously didn’t pack it good enough.”
“During boarding [it] is said multiple times that u have to put all small bags, including duty-free bags, under the seats for a reason,” observed a third.
An accidental spirit shower pales in comparison to the plight of one Frontier Airlines passenger, whose carry-on bag was soaked with urine during a flight.
