Playful bear caught on video sliding head-first down children’s slide in Connecticut backyard

Un-bear-ably cute!

A Connecticut family captured the wild moment a playful bear turned their children’s wooden backyard playset into its own personal playground as it slid head-first down the plastic slide.

Sarah Loving had just returned home with her husband and two children when she spotted two bears strolling through her West Simsbury backyard — a frequent occurrence in her suburban community.

But this encounter took an amusing turn when one of the furry creatures approached their playscape and casually climbed up the wooden ladder to the slide, the nearly 30-second video showed.

“Is he gonna go down the slide?” Loving’s husband quipped to his family in the video, before the inquisitive bear gleefully glided head first down the green chute.

“Oh my gosh, there he goes.”

Loving said the carefree cub spent some time lying in a pile of soft sand at the bottom of the jungle gym before meandering to her neighbor’s yard about 10 minutes later.

“He made it to the landing and then went down the slide, like he had done it before,” Loving said of the jovial animal.

“They seemed so comfortable on the playscape. We just kept joking that they probably have been before, but we have no seen a bear go down playscape before, ever. That was a first.”
