Someone could be bringing home a lot of dough tonight, as Saturday’s Powerball jackpot has skyrocketed to a staggering $1.5 billion.
The eye-popping prize, with a cash value of $689.3 million, is the fifth-largest in the lottery game’s history.
“This jackpot is set to deliver the ultimate windfall,” Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO, said in a statement.
“The jackpot grows with every $2 ticket sold, and a portion of each ticket supports local public programs and services. We encourage everyone to have fun and play responsibly.”
The odds of winning the astronomical chunk of change is 1 in 292 million, according to Powerball’s official website.
To win, you must match all five white balls and the red Powerball number drawn tonight at 10:59 pm in Tallahassee, Fla. — streamed live on the Powerball website.

Saturday’s drawing marks the 45th in the current run, which sets a record for the most drawings without a jackpot winner.
In Wednesday’s drawing six players won the $1 million Match 5 prize — including three New Yorkers, who purchased their winning tickets at stores in Elmont, Newburgh and Astoria.
The last Powerball jackpot was won on Sept. 6 by two tickets that split a $1.787 billion prize — the second-largest US lottery jackpot on record.
