HBO’s …And Just Like That follows its predecessor, Sex and the City, when it comes to telling stylish stories in Manhattan — and the homes themselves are just as chic to behold.
In the first season of the revival, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) had previously moved from her iconic brownstone in the East Village to live with husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth) uptown. After his shocking death in the pilot, Carrie returned to her beloved studio. She ultimately moved again during season 2, finding a palatial penthouse to share with returning love interest Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).
“One of the interesting things that Michael [Patrick King, the showrunner] brought to us was that Carrie has kept her old apartment the way she always has, as her work sanctum, where she goes to write and whatnot,” production designer Miguel López-Castillo told Apartment Therapy in 2021. “There is more of a feeling that she gets to do things there that she would not have in the apartment with Big, reflecting her travels, a different color sensibility, more her personality, whereas the apartment with Big had been decorated … very much with him in mind.”
Carrie’s abode wasn’t the only AJLT residence to have a certain flair. The onscreen dwellings of Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis), Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker), Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury) and other characters also bring heaps of design inspiration.
