Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs opened up about her recent nose job that she opted to keep secret for months.
Josephs, 58, got candid about the appearance of her nose changing with age and deciding to go under the knife in a new interview with People published on Tuesday, March 31. “It was making me nuts,” she told the publication.
“I would notice in pictures that my nose would look bigger or the tip would drop when I would smile. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’” Josephs added. “And then I looked at pictures when I was younger. My face was fuller, my nose looked different. After a while, I was like, this is not working.”
The designer also shared that she wanted “very subtle” results and finally found the perfect doctor who felt confident in getting her the look she wanted. “[Dr. Gary Motykie] was great,” Josephs gushed. “We did the consult over Zoom, and I was like, I’m totally flying to L.A. to get it done.”
When it came to her healing process, Josephs recalled experiencing “brutal” bruising. She decided to keep her surgery under wraps from the public and most of her friends until March 4, when she shared photos of her results via Instagram.
“No one wants a droopy tip… some might call it a rhinoplasty, I call it a ‘nasal rejuvenation’😜,” Josephs captioned photos of her healing process. “As I got older, my tip started to droop as I smiled and I was really unhappy about it.”
Josephs clarified that she “never disliked” her nose growing up and didn’t think she would ever get a rhinoplasty. “With age the cartilage in my nose didn’t support my tip and it emphasized a slight bump in my nose also,” she explained.
“Every photo of me I really noticed it and it bothered me. I went to @drgarymotykie for a slight tweak and now my nose fits my face so perfectly and no one can quite put their finger on why… not even my family members!”
Josephs concluded her social media post by sharing that she also got a “fat transfer and stem cells” in her face, noting, “It was to restore volume in the face too.”
