Russian drones killed two people and injured two others in the Donetsk region, in the latest barrage of UAVs against Ukraine as Moscow’s all-out war nears the three-year mark.

Nine people were injured in Russian attacks on the city of Kherson and other residential areas in the region, according to Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin.

Another three people were injured in a Russian attack in the region of Dnipropetrovsk, while five were wounded in Kharkiv, including two infants, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov.

Ukrainian air defences have shot down 58 of 80 Russian drones over several regions overnight, while 21 drones were redirected by electronic warfare from Kyiv, authorities said.

Russian chemical plant struck

A drone strike has reportedly hit the Russian Kazanorgsintez chemical plant in Tatarstan overnight, causing gas tanks to set on fire.

Russian authorities said the drone strike caused a fire in the city but added there was no significant damage.

“I went to the scene of a fire that occurred as a result of the drone attack. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire. I heard reports that there were no casualties or serious damage,” Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov posted to his Telegram channel.

Elsewhere, a drone attack damaged an industrial facility in the city of Engels in Russia’s Saratov region, according to authorities.

Mikhail Isayev, the interim head of Engels district, announced that the city’s schools would transition to online classes because of the continued risk of additional drone attacks.

Euronews could not independently confirm these claims. Meanwhile, passenger flights have been suspended in the cities of Kazan, Kaluga, Saratov and Tambov, Russian media reported.
