Sami Sheen has decided to remove her breast implants.
Sami, 21, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 23, and shared a mirror selfie in which she sported a long, gray dress. She added a caption with some personal news, revealing, “i’ve been experiencing health issues for nearly 2 years now with the weirdest symptoms and finally discovered that i have breast implant illness. idk how i haven’t figured this out sooner but i’m so happy i finally have an answer. i’m hoping to get them removed asap so i can start feeling better.”
She added, “pls lmk if you know of any good explant surgeons near LA.”
In a subsequent Story, Sami posted a throwback photo of herself wearing a bikini before she got silicone breast implants.
“it’s definitely gonna be hard going back to this size,” Sami captioned the snap. “not only physically, but mentally. i don’t want to at all but i know i’ll feel so much better once they are out. so i guess it’s worth it. i posted about this on my tiktok but figured i would talk about it on here incase anyone else is experiencing the same thing.”
She noted: “this is your sign to always put your health first!!!”
Pointing out her thicker hair in the bikini shot, Sami lamented that she “can’t believe this is all my real hair, another thing that these implants took from me.”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, breast implant illness is not yet recognized as an official medical diagnosis, and “refers to a wide range of symptoms that occur after getting breast implants.”
In another Instagram Story on Monday, Sami — the daughter of exes Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards — wrote that her symptoms include chronic fatigue, “sensitivity to temperature,” hair loss, acne, headaches, memory loss, brain fog, vertigo, joint and muscle pain, mood swings and “severe anxiety (always been an anxious person but nothing like this).” On top of that, she’s been “allergic to almost everything.”
The influencer told her thousands of followers that “not everyone who gets implants will get sick from them. it’s definitely a flip of a coin, and i think i just got super unlucky. but i’m also very grateful that i am fortunate enough to get them removed. i feel awful for all of the women that experience this and are stuck with them, cause this illness is no joke.”
In November 2023, Sami revealed that she was getting the surgery, reminiscing on always wanting a bigger bust after her mom, Denise, got a boob job at the age of 19.
“I was 10 years old and like, ‘I can’t wait to have big boobs like my mom,’” she told Bustle at the time.
