Selling Sunset‘s Mary Bonnet was brutally honest about her take on the Nicole Young and Chrishell Stause feud.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Mary, 45, admitted she wasn’t too taken aback by Jason Oppenheim‘s decision to dismiss Nicole from the office in season 9.

“I was surprised in a way but on the other hand, it was just causing so many problems. She’s a great agent but it wasn’t just Nicole. I always loved Chrishell but the accusations [came] from her end [too]. It’s just not OK,” Mary told Us about the insults thrown back and forth between her costars. “You just don’t do that to people and [Chrishell]’s was all based on hearsay.”

Mary didn’t agree with Nicole’s behavior in season 9 — but she also couldn’t condone Chrishell’s claims.

“This show goes out to the world and it’s someone’s reputation to the world. So it’s not something you just throw around because you’re angry. And Nicole did not take my advice. I was like, ‘Leave it.’ Just be like, ‘Chrishell, enough. You’ve already said this,’” Mary recalled the advice she gave Nicole. “She didn’t do it. She went back even harder, of course.”

The real estate agent could see Jason’s perspective. “There’s only so much that Jason can let happen. From my understanding, he’s had to have multiple talks with many of the girls — and with Chrishell too,” Mary claimed. “He has had to say, ‘You just can’t accuse our agents of stuff and you don’t know that that’s even true.’ It’s been a doozy.”

While Chrishell, 44, and Nicole’s feud has gone back years, their issues hit a new low in season 9, which premiered on Wednesday, October 28. The duo got into a fight while in a group setting and Chrishell brought up past accusations that Nicole, 40, has been on drugs. Nicole, who has denied the claims, fired back by bringing up Chrishell’s late parents.

Nicole was later asked not to come into The Oppenheim Group.

“It really broke Jason’s heart to have to do that,” Mary told Us. “It was just a decision that was based on what was said and then how much had been happening and the discourse in the office. Nicole’s a wonderful person, a wonderful agent and a great friend. But her and Chrishell together are toxic. It was destroying the entire brokerage.”

She added: “So he just had to make a business decision. It was nothing personal against favoring Chrishell or against Nicole. It was just a business decision.”

After leaving the office, Nicole told Mary on screen that she was making the move to Nashville.

“It’ll be a really good move for her — getting away from everything here. I think it’ll be very healthy,” Mary shared. “I was very honest with her the whole time [about the drama before this]. We had many, many conversations off camera warning her. At a certain point I had to just back off and she understands. I think she was a little hurt by it but she understands and we’re still friends.”

As for Mary’s friendship with Chrishell?

“We don’t really talk that much or anything,” she said before Chrishell took to social media to call out Mary’s comments about her feud with costar Chelsea Lazkani. “But when I love people, I always love them. I can disagree with their behavior and not like them — or not like what they’re doing or what they’re saying — but I’ve always cared for [her].”
