September 2025: Three zodiac signs will thrive — but three will nose-dive

September is upon us, and the astro weather is coming for us, folks.

“September is one of the mightiest, game-changing months of 2025. It’s a huge wake-up call that brings ‘WTF?’ moments and surprises,” psychic astrologer Jimmy, founder of The Tarot Ship, told The Post.

He shared that while we will be shooketh, those seeking real and radical change in their lives will be richly rewarded.

Astrology of September 2025

“In September, all inner planets change signs (Mercury in Virgo and Libra, Venus in Leo and Virgo, Mars in Libra and Scorpio), all outer planets retrogade (Saturn in Pisces, Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Aquarius), and the luminaries, the sun and moon, will connect on the nodes of fate for two powerful eclipses.”

Uranus, our planet of innovation and the unexpected, begins its retrograde in Gemini on Saturday, Sept. 6. Jimmy promises this transit is “destined to open our mind and expand our consciousness, particularly triggered by all things digital, social media and education.”

Add to the mix that Pluto, our planet of transformation, will be “out of bounds” in the sign of Aquarius this month and beyond.

“Historically, this amplifies the dwarf planet’s ‘naughtier’ side of upheaval, chaos and bringing truths to the surface.”

Eclipses bring significant endings and beginnings

And all that revealing and feeling will be amplified by the opening of the eclipse portal.

“Eclipses carry 10 times the power of new and full moons, and this month, they fall on the Virgo-Pisces axis (think: all forms of health, from mental to physical, and daydream vibes).”

He cautions all signs to prepare for significant endings and/or new beginnings.

“These celestial events have been known to suddenly ‘eclipse’ people or circumstances from our lives — though they do clear your path forward.”

The total lunar eclipse in Pisces on Sept. 8 draws our attention to the collective unconscious, and news or issues related to religion, addiction and water may surface (pun intended).

“Lunar eclipses represent endings and closure, and so does Pisces (the last Zodiac sign). It can be cathartic, especially in light of any circumstances that began on Sept. 17, 2024, with the new moon solar eclipse in Pisces.”

Later this month, we welcome the new moon solar eclipse in Virgo.

“The eclipse is at a ‘critical’ 29 degree, a point of culmination, or reset. Day-to-day routines, including work and health, will likely shift for the next six months. Do you need a digital detox? Are you sitting for 12 hours a day? Do you need to adjust your diet (Virgo rules gut health)? Something’s gotta go for your new journey ahead.”

Three signs that will be challenged in September

In light of all these shifts and edits, three signs will face the most significant challenges this month.

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)

Saturn retrograde leaves the inferno of Aries for Pisces, activating the twelfth house of endings and the subconscious mind for the people of the ram. Meanwhile, Neptune retrograde in their sign has them questioning the value of their dreams and the valor of their actions.

“Most Aries will experience changes in their day-to-day, especially in the workplace, whether they seek it or not. The silver lining is the ‘purge’ they’ll feel in September,” said Jimmy. “They’ll focus on eliminating old structures, habits, and patterns, connect spiritually, and have plenty of time to process their next steps post-eclipses.”

PISCES (February 19 – March 20)

With Saturn reentering Pisces mere days before an eclipse in their sign, Jimmy shared that the people of the fish may be feeling extra introspective and acutely emo this month.

“They’ll confront their shadow self, examine relationships and how they build wealth, and many will experience surprises at home. With all the strong fire and air energy the past few months, they felt like fish out of water — but as long as they keep swimming and following their intuition, they’ll find an infinite sea of possibility awaits.”

LEO (July 23 – August 22)

Edging off the high of having the sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus in their sign of late, Leos could feel the undertow of a comdown come September.

“Money matters will be front and center with the eclipses, from their salary to investments and shared assets. Furthermore, Pluto could bring some disruption to their relationships, and there could be a falling out with friends. Lucky planet Jupiter isn’t in the best place (their 12th house of the subconscious). Fortunately, they can use September to recalibrate as long as they remain flexible.”

Three signs that will be blessed in September

While Aries, Leo and Pisces have their work cut out for them this month, three signs are poised for better days ahead.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)

Jimmy notes that energetically, Geminis will be investing in home hangs and family times while their eye remains on the prize of career ascent.

“Saturn has been testing this area for two years, and if they play by his rules, they’ll be rewarded around the eclipse.”

He warns that the first week of September could prove tumultuous with Mercury, their planetary ruler, squaring Saturn in their sign.

Blessedly, Jimmy says, “Geminis are highly adaptable. Uranus going retrograde in their sign could lessen the chaos in their physical world, and with the planet’s auspicious trine to Pluto in Aquarius (spirituality), they’ll become wiser (and wealthier) by month’s end.”

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)

Since the South Node moved into their sign last year, the imperus for Virgos has been transformation.

“September will be a nice surprise for Virgos, especially with the rocketship of the new moon solar eclipse in their sign. The eclipse will be opposite Saturn, but these folks may use it to structure realistic plans.”

Jimmy notes that the Virgo contingent will have the sun, Mercury, and Venus moving through their sign this month.

“They’ll be in their comfort zone, and Jupiter exalted in Cancer in their area of future hopes, long-term goals, commitments, and dreams brings luck and good fortune.”

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)

Owing to a lot of cosmic action in their eighth and tenth houses, Jimmy says Aquarius folk have the potential for breakthroughs in love, family, creative projects, self-expression and finances this month.

“They could feel restless with Pluto out of bounds in their sign, but as long as they channel this energy constructively, they could have an enormously spectacular transformation,” he asserts. “In fact, Venus (love and money) in Virgo (day-to-day affairs, wealth building, deepening partnerships) could bring a boon as long as they don’t keep people at arm’s length.”
