Shep Rose has strong feelings about the lack of time Paige DeSorbo spent on trips with Craig Conover prior to their split.
During the Southern Charm season 10 finale, which aired Thursday, March 20, Rose, 44, took aim at DeSorbo, 32, while chatting to Austen Kroll.
“I’ll say it. I’ll say something. I think it’s total f—ing bulls–t that Paige didn’t go on one single trip while they were dating,” Rose said.
He added, “I couldn’t get away with that if I had a girlfriend, I’ll tell you that much.”
Kroll, 37, tried to defend DeSorbo, insisting she had tried to make the trips work. Throwback clips showed DeSorbo turning down Southern Charm trips due to other work obligations that clashed.
Rose was unconvinced however, raging, “What stupid a– talk show? You get your a– and you film with your boyfriend. It’s incomprehensible.”
DeSorbo and Conover, 36, dated for three years before they called it quits in December 2024.
During the first episode of the two-part finale, Conover shared more details of the former couple’s break up.
“Paige and I had a great Thanksgiving together. Like, everything was normal at her parents’, like our chemistry and like, everything…” Conover said. “Then a couple weeks later she called me and was like, ‘We gotta talk.’”
Conover confirmed the call took place before Christmas and recalled how it felt in the moment.
“I was like, I can’t believe this is like happening,” Conover. “And it was really calm. She’s like, ‘I need to find myself.’ And she’s like, ‘I have to take control of my life again and we need to break up.’”
Meanwhile, DeSorbo also reflected on her relationship with Conover this week, claiming she “tolerated too much” while speaking about the romance on the Wednesday, March 19, episode of the Summer House after show.
“I think obviously when you’re in it you can’t see it the way you see it when you’re out of it or the way your friends see it. And I think I loved him so much that I tolerated too much,” she said. “Now that I’m out of it and I look back on things, I’m like, ‘Oh wait.’ Anytime I had a career milestone, he found a way to make it about him.”
DeSorbo broke the news of her split with Conover in December 2024 via an episode of her podcast, “Giggly Squad.”
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” she said. “I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
A month later, Conover spoke out via social media and hinted that he didn’t see the split coming.
“I figured it’s finally time to check in with everyone. Sorry about the delay, this has all been very, very unexpected to say the least. But I guess I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like. Whatever my new normal looks like — I have to start,” Conover said via his Instagram Story in January. “‘Gratitude will get you through this, with time comes clarity’ – all of the advice, I’m trying to listen to.”
