Skincare influencer shares viral secret for staying wrinkle-free

This crafting supply can make skin look decades younger, a skinfluencer claims.

A TikTok creator credits her wrinkle-free skin to a surprising hack, which she says has trained her to not make the facial expressions which lead to fine lines.

“I’m about to share with you the No. 1 beauty trick I have learned in my 30 years in the industry. Are you ready?” said beauty influencer Shine Malibu in one of multiple viral videos she recorded explaining the “tape” trick that does the same thing as Botox — but naturally, she claims.

While working for the physician, celebrity dermatologist and namesake of the Dr. Brandt skin-care line, the late researcher taught Malibu to use tape to teach herself not to make certain facial movements in the name of maintaining a youthful appearance, Malibu explained.

“Dr. Brandt used to make us wear tape on our forehead. Like, pieces of tape, because it teaches you how often you’re flexing and using that muscle ’cause you’d hear the tape crinkle,” Malibu explained.

Malibu said she trained herself not to use certain forehead muscles by putting tape on her noggin.

“So I would walk around his office, I would walk around my home with tape on. And every time it would crinkle, I would stop making that motion. Eventually, with a little bit of training, I learnt how to make eye expressions without utilizing these upper muscles,” she said, gesturing at the space between and slightly above her eyebrows.

She insisted that she can “still be animated” and express herself while also successfully preventing the formation of “lines or creases on my upper forehead.”

While many in the clip’s comments wrote that they would never trade certain facial expressions so as to hopefully age less visibly, Malibu seems to feel the exchange was more than worth it.

“Here I am almost 50 with nothing,” she said, encouraging her viewers to “train now, start now, if you’re in your 20s, now’s the time, 30s, 40s, 50s — it’s not too late. Slap on that tape and get brow training.”
