‘Sports Illustrated’ Model Olivia Ponton Avoids Answering Joe Burrow Romance Questions

Sports Illustrated model Olivia Ponton remained tight-lipped over her rumored romance with Joe Burrow.

Ponton, 22, who was first linked to Burrow, 28, in December 2024, avoided questions posed to her via TMZ on Monday, May 5, following a burglary at the athlete’s Ohio home.

Filmed leaving a 2025 Met Gala afterparty in New York City, Ponton was asked by the outlet if she was “dating Joe Burrow,” to which she simply smiled, keeping her head down and gaze locked to the ground.

A reporter for the outlet pushed Ponton further, overheard saying, “You were spotted together, can you confirm that?” which drew nothing more than Ponton’s hand placed to the side of her face to block it from being filmed. The model remained quiet, hastening her march toward a waiting car without looking back at the camera.

Ponton’s relationship with Burrow, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, first came to light in December 2024 when Burrow’s home was targeted by intruders while the Bengals were in Dallas to play the Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

According to a police report, Ponton was named as an individual who was on the scene at Burrow’s home when deputies arrived. Ponton was listed as being “employed by Mr. Burrow” in a police report obtained by TMZ at the time.

In the aftermath of the robbery, Ponton told authorities that she noticed a “shattered bedroom window” and a room “ransacked,” per the police report. The mother had called her mother, Diane, who then phoned authorities.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now,” Ponton’s mother told the dispatcher, per the report. “My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game.”

The report listed Ponton as being “employed by Mr. Burrow.” On the scene, Ponton gave officers “a non-detailed itemization of what items were possibly missing.”

Days after the break-in, Burrow addressed the incident during a previously-scheduled press conference where he was asked whether he was frustrated by details of his personal life being revealed. Burrow responded, “That’s part of it. We live a public life and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy. And that has been difficult for me to deal with my entire career. Still learning. But I understand it’s the life that we choose. Doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.”

Earlier this week, the pair revealed they were still enjoying time together as they were seen exiting the same vehicle in Miami, Florida on Sunday, May 4. The duo had traveled to attend the F1 Miami Grand Prix.

Ponton and Burrow were careful not to be photographed together, with Burrow hopping out of the van first and Ponton following shortly after. She was seen with a big smile on her face.

Neither Ponton or Burrow have publicly addressed their relationship status since the robbery.
