‘Summer House’ Recap: Jesse Admits He Didn’t Go for Ciara During Season 8 Because West ‘Called Dibs’

Jesse Solomon and West Wilson’s friendship didn’t keep Jesse from coming in hot and flirting with West’s ex Ciara Miller on the latest episode of Summer House.

“Why didn’t you just give me a chance?” Jesse, 31, playfully asked Ciara, 29, during the Wednesday, March 26, episode of the Bravo series, referring to when they first met during season 8.

Ciara fired back, “Why didn’t you try?” Jesse confessed that he didn’t make a move because West, 30, “called dibs.”

During season 8 of Summer House, which aired in 2024, newbies Jesse and West became instant best friends. However, Jesse missed the first week in the Hamptons, which is when West allegedly “called dibs” on Ciara.

West and Ciara had a whirlwind romance in the shared house that ended in disaster. Ciara claimed during the season 8 reunion that West played “games” with her all summer and into the fall before they broke up. (West later apologized, but the tension between him and Ciara has remained throughout season 9.)

“Don’t let whoever stop you from finding your wife,” Ciara told Jesse during Wednesday’s episode.

Jesse teased, “So you’re saying don’t let Lexi stop me from you?” He then kissed Ciara on her hand. (Jesse sparked a romance with season 9 newcomer Lexi Wood, who was absent from the pirate party when he got flirty with Ciara.)

“This is the first time I’m even hearing Jesse say that he was potentially interested. Honestly, last year this time it was fair game,” Ciara reflected during a confessional. “And now you’ve got my head in a pickle, don’t tell me that. I don’t need to know that.”

Ciara pointed out that Jesse had his chance “last summer,” joking, “You’re practically married now, friend,” since he was seemingly committed to Lexi.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jesse revealed his feelings about Ciara to Craig Conover and Amanda Batula.

“I’m not blind. Have you looked at Ciara? She has a heart of gold. She’s drop dead gorgeous,” Jesse confessed, explaining, “With us, it’s been a friend vibe because she dated my friend.”

When asked whether he’d “date” Ciara, Jesse cracked a smile and said, “I’m a heterosexual male. Like, yes.”

Amanda, 33, and Craig, 36, couldn’t get over Jesse’s revelation once he walked away. “It’s not nothing, Amanda,” Craig said.

Amanda, meanwhile, said that Ciara was adamant that she’d never date Jesse after being in a relationship with West. “She’s like, ‘I’m not a homie hopper,’” Amanda told Craig about the model.

Jesse and Ciara continued to raise eyebrows throughout the night when their friends spotted them dancing and grinding in the backyard.

“There’s definitely a sexual attraction,” Paige DeSorbo confirmed. “You can cut the sexual tension with a knife.”

Jesse, however, ended the episode by getting his “toe sucked” during a foursome with Imrul Hassan — after FaceTiming Lexi, 27, to tell her he missed her all night.

When it comes to the remainder of the season, the latest preview teased that Lexi gets mad at Jesse for the toe-sucking incident. She is also shown arguing with Ciara over her flirtation with him.

“I am gonna watch and figure it out with the rest of you guys because I still don’t know,” Ciara exclusively told Us Weekly on March 20 when asked about why Lexi had an issue with her and Jesse’s dynamic. “In my head — and maybe this is just my world — I don’t really see it as a big deal.”

Ciara noted that Jesse is “a flirt” and he’s gonna flirt,” but that’s just who he is.

When it comes to Lexi and Jesse being so close, so fast, Ciara told Us, she gave Jesse “advice” to “pump the brakes,” but insisted she had no beef with Lexi. “When you think of Canada, in my head, I think of Lexi, like, she’s just so nice,” she added.
