“The Toast” cohost Jackie Oshry won’t be “taking the bait” when it comes to rumored beef with Nick Viall’s wife, Natalie Joy.
“I refuse to admit that there’s beef because I don’t know anything about the situation,” Jackie said on the Wednesday, February 4, episode of “The Toast,” explaining that she was sent a clip of Natalie discussing her past appearance on Jackie’s daily podcast.
“She was kind of alluding to having an uncomfortable conversation with you,” Jackie’s sister and “The Toast” cohost, Claudia Oshry, explained. “She was seemingly upset about how you addressed her age gap.”
Natalie guest hosted “The Toast” with Jackie in June 2025, and her 18-year age gap with Nick became a topic of conversation.
“How old were you when you guys met?” Jackie asked . Natalie claimed she was 21, adding that Nick was 37 at the time, and Jackie replied, “Wow.”
When Natalie spoke about the experience on “The Viall Files” later that month, she said that her “ability to not do math” made for the awkward moment. Natalie alluded to Jackie wanting her to do “fast math” to discuss the ages.
“”How f***ing dare you, first of all. That’s rude, give me a second to calculate it. I’m like, ‘He was 37, I think.’ I think, followed the 37,” she recalled. “Now, everyone’s like, ‘Well, if I do the math, that means you were 19 years old.’ I know I was 21. I was present in my body, currently, in that time period.”
The clips have been resurfaced on TikTok, which is what made Jackie and Claudia address rumors of any bad blood.
“I feel like the first thing people think about them is age gap. I never remember it,” Jackie explained on Wednesday. “I definitely didn’t have a harsh reaction to it because in my heart of hearts I don’t feel that way.”
Jackie added, “I don’t see them as an age-gap couple.” (The irony of the situation is Nick and Natalie are hosting a dating show on Netflix, titled Age of Attraction, which explores age-gap relationships.)
Claudia subsequently suggested that Natalie recounted the conversation with Jackie “incorrectly” on “Viall Files.” Claudia and Jackie then discussed the math of it all.
“I guess the math didn’t math?” Jackie wondered. Claudia added, “I think she was upset that she had to do the math. That was the vibe.”
Jackie said she’s “not taking the bait” for any drama about the situation. (Claudia joked that she kind of is.)
“I had such a great experience with her. We’ve had such a good relationship with Nick for so many years,” Jackie continued. “Unless she texts me to my face, ‘I don’t like you.’ … I’m sorry if she came away feeling that way.”
She added, “Like I said, that’s not how I feel. I think they have a beautiful relationship and a beautiful family and are meant to be.”
Claudia noted that Natalie was “totally valid” because “you can’t help how you feel when you walk away from a conversation.” But the internet star, also known as Girl With No Job, explained that she couldn’t help but feel “defensive” of her sister.
“I’m just not Internet enough for this,” Jackie added. “I still don’t understand.”
