This is why you might not be getting lucky tonight.

Depending on a person’s mood or even the time of day — they’ll come up with an excuse not to have sex. However, according to a recent study, there is one specific — and quite surprising — reason that will make most women turn down getting frisky.

According to research conducted by health tech company Philips, supposedly, a third of women will ditch getting it on if their bodily hair isn’t groomed. To get more nitty gritty — women won’t want to get naked with you if their legs are hairy.

Part of what makes a woman in the mood for hanky panky is feeling put together, according to the data, which also revealed that more than half of the 2,000 women surveyed won’t have sex if they didn’t shower first.

48% will turn down their hookup or spouse if they haven’t brushed their teeth, and almost 30% will do the same if they haven’t shaved their armpits.

You always put yourself in a vulnerable situation when getting intimate with someone and 90% of women said they would rather be well-groomed beforehand because it helps boost their sexual confidence.

“Although the other person might not be bothered and intimacy rituals vary from person to person, making sure you’re feeling and looking your best during the most intimate of times can be a big deal,” a rep for Phillips said, according to the Mirror.

While many women might be declining a romp in the sheets, others are supposedly getting it on up to 20 times per week, according to a study published in the Personality and Individual Differences journal.

“The bottom line is that we don’t all love the same,” said Adam Bode, head researcher and PHD student at the Australian National University in Canberra, Phys.org reported.

Bode and a team of researchers grouped respondents to a survey into four categories depending on how they answered a series of questions about their sexual preferences, which honestly sound like wing sauce options: mild, moderate, intense and libidinous.

One end of the spectrum was the mild lovers who only had sex 2.5 times per week on average.

And the other end was the freaks in the sheets — the libidinous lovers who get it on up to 20 times per week.
