On October 22, Neptune, our planet of drugs, dreams, and delusions, re-enters Pisces for the final time in our lifetime.

“Neptune brings fantasy and romanticism with it wherever it travels, and now it is traveling back into Pisces, where it has spent the last 14 years and where it will remain until it leaves for good in January,” Rachel Ruth Tate, certified astrologer at Casinos Analyzer, told The Post.

Neptune has been in and out but mostly in Pisces since April 4, 2011, and will remain in the sign of eating glitter and sniffing glue until January 26, 2026.

“Given that Neptune takes 165 years to move around the zodiac, this is the last time in our lifetimes that we will all experience the planet of fate and fame traversing the emotional, spiritual waters of Pisces,” said Tate.

She notes that Neptune’s final lap is supported by parental, punishing Saturn and the karma-dishing North Node, both of which are in Pisces.

“It’s no coincidence that Neptune is co-present with these forces as it finishes up its ethereal, awakening journey through the last sign in the zodiac. There is some essential wisdom for us to soak up between now and next year!”

Tate shared that as Neptune represents the archetype of the artist, the visionary, and the healer, the planet’s tenure in veil-thinning Pisces is directly related to the mainstream adoption of esoteric alternative belief systems and ancient healing modalities — looking at you, astrology, parasite cleanses, and plant medicine.

“Look out for ground-breaking artists and creatives to mount a last stand before Neptune shifts into the “warrior ethos” of Aries, where it just spent a few months, giving us a charged preview of the Mars-ruled vibes to come.”

How Neptune’s retrograde in Pisces can affect your relationships

Clarity is compassion when Neptune moves through the muck and mire of Pisces. Margaux – stock.adobe.com

Neptune is foggy AF, especially in retrograde motion, and the murky fishbowl lens of Pisces further compromises clarity.

The key to surviving and thriving in this disorienting storm drain is to stay grounded in communication and emotional honesty.

“When Neptune blurs emotional boundaries, it’s easy to take things the wrong way. Sometimes you only hear what you want to hear,” Jaime Bronstein, LCSW – a licensed therapist and resident expert at Dating.com, told The Post.

“And that’s when things start to feel off – like you’re both talking, but no one’s really listening.”

According to Bronstein, clarity is compassion in these trying times.

“If something feels weird, don’t keep running it over in your head; just ask. Say something like, ‘Hey, this is what I heard. Is that what you meant?’ When someone is willing to listen, validate, and refrain from telling you how to feel, it helps strengthen the relationship.”

She notes that Neptune energy can make folks extra sensitive, so take a beat before bearing down.

“Please take a moment to ground yourself by taking a few deep breaths. If you need space or reassurance, let them know. People usually have no idea what’s going on with you unless you share it. Being open keeps things clear, even when everything around you feels a little foggy.”

While we’ll all be under the undertow of this transit, a few signs in particular will struggle to find solid ground.

It’s all about having a clear slate for Pisces. Anastasia – stock.adobe.com

Neptune’s retrograde through your sign is a hard-knock wake-up call, Pisces.

The illusions you’ve been clutching like a balloon bouquet, about yourself, the future of your situationship, the shined turd you call a love interest, the viability of vampiric friends, etc., are quickly deflating.

While this may feel like a Humpty Dumpty all come crashing down moment, I assure you, it is in the rubble that your true magic will be made manifest.

Clear slate, active channeling, pure potential baby.

Geminis can do anything, but shouldn’t do everything. Anastasia – stock.adobe.com

Neptune’s backslide through your career sector is throwing an ugly glare on the gulch between your professional fantasies and present reality, Gemini.

That mentor who seemed infallible? That dream role you’ve been chasing? The raise you thought was in reach? This retrograde divides bedrock from bull—t.

Remember, you can do anything, but you can’t do everything. And the time is nigh to allot your resources in a way that feels not just ambitious, but authentic.

The real will rise, Gemini, even and especially as the house of cards doth crumble.

Connections should be nourishing for Virgos. Anastasia – stock.adobe.com

Neptune retrograde in Pisces floods your relationship sector, Virgo.

I suspect you’ve been leaning hard into idealizing and/or criticizing, a pendulum swing that is undue in both directions.

Your closest connections need not be perfect, but they must be nourishing.

When it comes to time spent and emotional labor delivered, if it ain’t healing you, it’s stealing from you.

Sagittarius will be curious during this time. Anastasia – stock.adobe.com

Your roots, home fires, and origin story are getting an honesty overhaul, Sagittarius.

Neptune has been murking up your fourth house, leaving you with questions about where you come from and how that compass point may have set you on a crooked path.

Now, my babies, the uncomfortable truth has come home to roost.

What unresolved family dynamics have you dragged, like a tattered afghan, into your present relationships?

You can’t outrun your roots; however, if you’re willing to do the work of discovery and disentanglement, your future journeys will feel more like a rich reward than a cheap escape.
