A brick and limestone East Village townhouse built by architect James Renwick, the famed creator of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, will hit the auction block Nov. 11.
Its owner, publicist Pierre Rougier — the founder and president of PR Consulting — has set the starting big for the five-story residence, at 112 E. 10th St., at $7.49 million. That’s 25% below its appraised price of $10 million and less than its $8.49 asking price in May.
Rougier has top clients including Louis Vuitton, Raf Simons, Christian Dior and Versace.
He also has an eye for a bargain — snapping up this historic home for $1.4 million in 2004, according to property records.
Built in 1861, the structure measures 5,800 square feet.
It is currently divided into four separate units, including an owner’s penthouse triplex with 17-foot ceilings, a skylight and a custom steel and wood staircase.
The listing broker is Trish Goff of Compass. The auction will be held by Misha Haghani, owner of Paramount Realty USA.
