Vicki Gunvalson is putting faith before feuds — especially when it comes to Teddi Mellencamp’s health.
“I have prayed for Teddi. My heart goes out to her, the children, [her estranged husband] Edwin [Arroyave], everybody,” Gunvalson, 62, shared on the Tuesday, February 18, episode of the “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast” show. “I mean, it’s horrible.”
Earlier this month, Mellencamp, 43, went to the hospital after experiencing “unbearable” headaches. Doctors later discovered multiple tumors on her brain. On February 12, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star underwent brain surgery.
While Gunvalson has feuded with Mellencamp over the years, she made it clear any “ridiculous” drama was “so stupid” when a health scare enters the picture.
“There is no bitterness when it comes to health,” Gunvalson told her podcast cohost Christian Gray Snow. “I just wish the best for her. I hope she recovers.”
As Mellencamp remains in the hospital recovering from surgery, Gunvalson praised the Bravo star for her strength during an uncertain time.
“Teddi, if you are listening, I wish you the very best,” she added. “My heart goes out to you and you’ve got this girl. You are strong.”
The thoughtful gesture was a pleasant surprise for Mellencamp’s longtime podcast cohost Tamra Judge. After hearing the message, she gave credit to her former Real Housewives of Orange County costar for putting drama aside to send well wishes.
“[Despite] all the bad blood between her and Teddi, I heard that she did go on her podcast and say, like, ‘Teddi doesn’t deserve this,’ and she’s praying for her and all the things that went down between them [don’t] matter when it comes to cancer and things — like, it doesn’t,” Judge, 57, said on the Wednesday, February 19, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast. “We appreciate that. We really do.”
Gunvalson and Teddi’s feud was ignited in June 2022 when the daughter of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp posted a video of Gunvalson confessing in an interview with Judge that she isn’t a big fan of Teddi. She also jokingly referred to their “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast as “Two Twits” instead.
During a September 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Gunvalson doubled down on the feud saying, “I do not like her” before naming the RHOBH alum as the rudest Housewife “from another city.”
Ultimately, many Bravo stars — including Gunvalson — continue to send well wishes to Mellencamp as she heals in private.
“All I can do is pray on her and love her like all of her friends are doing,” Judge said on her podcast. “And that’s it.”
