• Soaked rice • Cooked rice • Grated coconut • Salt • Sugar • Instant yeast • Warm water • Oil

• Start preparing the appam batter by mixing soaked rice, cooked rice, grated coconut, salt, sugar, instant, yeast, and warm water in a blender.

• Transfer the batter to a bowl and let it ferment for about half an hour. Make sure to rest the bowl in a warm place.

• Once done, pour a ladle of batter into a pan.

• Swirl gently till it coats all edges, drizzle a few drops of oil, put on a lid, and cook till the appams get crispy and golden.
