Add 1 1/2 kg of salt to a big vessel with a deep bottom. Then, place the sweet potatoes over the salt.

Seal the sweet potatoes with another thick later of salt. Seal it with a lid and cook on high heat for 15 minutes and low heat on 15 minutes.

Switch off the gas and remove the sweet potatoes using a kitchen plier. When it cools down, wipe the salt off it using a piece of cloth.

Peel it and cut the sweet potatoes into thick round shapes.

Add the spice powders, tamarind chutney and lemon juice into the bowl of sweet potatoes. Your Khatti Meethi Shakarkandi Chaat is ready!
