Satiate your evening snacking cravings by indulging in bang bang green tomatoes. Chef Saloni Kukreja shared a special recipe.
For Green Tomatoes: • 4-5 green tomatoes • Salt • 1/4 cup flour • 1/4 cup cornstarch • Salt • Pepper • 1/4 tsp chilli powder • 3 garlic cloves • 1 tbsp finely chopped onion • 5 tbsp milk • 1 tsp vinegar • 1/4 cup water • Breadcrumbs

For Bang Bang Sauce: • 2 tbsp sriracha • 2 tsp vinegar • 1 tsp chilli flakes • 1/2 tsp sugar • 1/2 tsp salt • 6 tbsp mayonnaise To Garnish: • Chopped green onions • Toasted sesame seeds

• Start by cutting fresh green tomatoes into thick slices. Sprinkle salts on both sides of the veggies and keep them aside for around 10 minutes.

• Meanwhile, start making the buttermilk. For this, combine milk and vinegar.

• Next, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, chilli powder, garlic, onion, and water. Add this mixture to buttermilk and combine well.

• Dip tomato slices in the freshly made batter and coat them with breadcrumbs.

• Drizzle a little oil and air fry the coated tomatoes in an air fryer for 15 minutes.

• Meanwhile, make bang bang sauce combining sriracha, mayonnaise, vinegar, chilli flakes, salt, and sugar.

Garnish the sauce with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds and serve with hot and crispy green tomatoes.
