Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the dates of the 16th edition of the Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes).
The much-awaited film festival will be held from March 1 to 8, 2025.
As per Deccan Herald, more than 200 films from over 60 countries will be screened on 13 screens across Bengaluru.
BIFFes’ theme this year is plurality and inclusivity.
The film festival will feature 14 sections, three of which will be a competition category — Asian, Indian and Kannada. Other sections include contemporary world cinema, FIPRESCI Critics Week, bio-pics, and Kannada popular cinema.
The screening will be held at Orion Mall, Suchitra Film Society, and Dr Ambareesh Auditorium in Bengaluru.
There will be multiple seminars, workshops and masterclasses to attend at BIFFes.
This year’s film festival budget is ₹9 crore.
