Chef Aruna Vijay shared a recipe for Methi Ladoo that has incredible health benefits, especially for diabetic patients.
1 cup methi 1 cup wheat flour ¾ cup chopped almonds ¼ cup gond 2 tbsp dry ginger powder ¼ cup poppy seeds ¼ cup dhana kuli ¾ cup grated dried coconut 1+¼ cup grated jaggery Ghee
1. Start by dry roasting the methi seeds) in a pan over medium-low heat. 2. Cook until golden brown and then allow it to cool. 3. Grind the roasted methi into a powder.
4. Transfer the methi powder to a bowl and add enough milk to immerse it. 5. Let it sit overnight. 6. Next morning, add ¼ cup ghee to pan and cook it till the colour changes.
7. Heat ¼ cup of ghee in a large pan and roast the wheat flour on low heat. 8. Add the gond and allow it to puff up.
9. After that, add the poppy seeds, chopped almonds, grated dry coconut, dhana kuli & dry ginger powder powder. 10. Mix well and take it off the heat.
11. While still warm, add grated jaggery and mix well. 12. Shape the ladoo & enjoy!
