Ransom Canyon already had plenty of sex scenes so imagine our surprise — and disappointment — to learn there were more steamy moments that ended up getting cut.

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Garrett Wareing, Andrew Liner and Lizzy Greene recalled certain scenes that didn’t make the final edit.

“Just some sex scenes,” Wareing, 23, who plays Lucas, coyly revealed. “Sorry guys, we have to wait for season 2.”

Greene, 21, laughed while remembering the onscreen moment, adding, “There was a scene with me and Garrett on a car. Maybe it was good that it never saw the light of day. That was the first episode they ended up getting rid of it.”

It wasn’t the only scenes between Lucas and Lauren that got axed.

“There was a really sweet scene with us in the back of the truck on Double K Ranch, which was very lovey dovey and sweet. We were talking about your art and dreams of going to Paris,” Wareing recalled before Liner, 24, quipped, “Sorry, you guys have enough lovey dovey moments. I am dying over here.”

Based on Jodi Thomas‘ book series, Ransom Canyon follows a town in Texas full of drama, romance and hope. The western, which is streaming now, introduced Us to several love triangles including Lucas (Wareing) and Reid (Liner) being at odds over Lauren’s (Greene) heart.

“Things are set up where everyone is in a love triangle in season 1 because it opens the door for the audience to say what they like,” Greene shared with Us. “Then also hopefully we get another season. It gives our writers and everyone an opportunity to see what people like and then lean into it more season 2.”

Greene remained hopeful about where the trio could end up.

“There is still a lot of love there and a lot of care for each other. That is kind of where everyone sits [because] there’s no animosity toward anybody. Everyone loves and cares about everyone,” she continued. “That’s why it ends up so well is because while they are butting heads in the beginning, they both really admire each other.”

Meanwhile, Wareing is just like Us as he continues to root for Lucas and Lauren, adding, “We saw Lucas and Lauren very happy in season 1. What does it look like when we don’t see them happy and when we are facing real world hardship? And what does it look like to feel that pull and come back together?”

He continued: “Lucas is looking to explore [life outside of Ransom Canyon] but is it worth exploring without the love of his life? That’s a question that we’re going to have to answer in season 2 — if we’re lucky. Lucas loves Lauren so much that his dream wouldn’t be complete without her.”

Ransom Canyon is currently streaming on Netflix.
