Taylor Frankie Paul is getting a cosmetic refresh before entering her Bachelorette era.
Warning: This post contains spoilers for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4.
“I’m having a breast augmentation done again. I had it a few years back,” Taylor, 31, said in an episode of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4, which premiered on Thursday, March 12. “But I will say just having a baby, some things I was like, unsure of, really, up here. So I’m like, ‘Let’s just go get a little, let’s say, touch-up, if you will.”
Filming five days before the season 3 reunion of Mormon Wives, Taylor gave a peace sign for the camera as she was seen being wheeled back into an operating room.
“I’m doing it one, to feel good about myself, but two, for The Bachelorette,” Taylor explained. “I think I’m about to be in a lot of dresses which normally — if you know me, I’m not in dresses, so I just kind of want to feel good in them.”
The episode then showed behind-the-scenes footage of Taylor’s breast augmentation, with the doctors seen placing bandages over her chest. One hour later, Taylor was awake and emotional as her mom, Liann, walked in.
“Oh, my gosh, are you OK?” Liann said. Taylor then began to cry more as she placed her hand over her face.
“Yeah, I’m just, like, sad,” Taylor said, while a nurse began to explain that the anesthesia medication may be playing a role in her emotions.
“No, this is just my freaking life,” Taylor replied through tears. “My life, just, situation, it freaking sucks. With family, you know. … I think I ignore it a lot.”
Taylor shared that her “heart hurts” as she began to reference her relationship with Dakota Mortensen, with whom she shares 23-month-old son Ever. (Taylor is also mom of daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul.)
“He never loved me, ever. I don’t care what anyone says. I’m in more of an acceptance phase, but maybe this is just obviously a little deeper rooted,” she said, while Liann responded, “Well, of course. It’s hard. You thought you were gonna probably end up with Dakota. That’s the sad thing. You’re gonna be OK, Taylor.”
As she placed a tissue to her face, Taylor replied, “I know.”
Taylor was crowned the next leading lady of The Bachelorette in 2025. Ahead of the season 22 premiere, Taylor exclusively shared in Us Weekly’s latest cover story that her decision to sign on to the dating show stemmed from breaking her on-off cycle with Dakota and prioritizing herself.
“Who gets this opportunity as a single mom to just purely focus on dating and love and yourself? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” she said. “That is why I was there. And anyone that doesn’t want to believe that, that’s their own issue.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming now. The Bachelorette season 22 premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu.
