This is some wild pizza drama.

A woman’s innocent tweet about enjoying pizza after a long day of moving has gone viral — and not for the reason one might expect.

Penny, @pennyelizabeths, shared on X a photo of a pizza — with a slice missing, might we add — with olives as a topping underneath the text, “Obligatory moving pizza.”

Someone treating themselves to a slice after a long day of moving boxes — what’s wrong with that?

Clearly, a lot because the response to this simple tweet — which has now garnered over 4.5 million views — was bananas with many people debating whether olives on a pizza is a good idea or not.

Some people were appalled by Penny’s topping of choice, like this person who retweeted the photo and wrote, “If someone offered me an olive pizza for helping them move, I would take all their furniture and return it to their old place.”

Another disgusted response read, “Olives aren’t inherently bad on pizza. Only olives on pizza can only be some kind of ritualistic punishment.”

Someone else did some investigative work by realizing that this pizza was from Papa John’s — “…so the toppings aren’t really relevant.”

“People who like olives can’t be trusted,” read another tweet.

However, many other people who chimed in on this silly discussion didn’t understand all the olive hate.

“Black olives are the objectively correct pizza topping,” one person wrote.

“People who don’t like olives should be forced to order from the kids’ menu,” a valid point someone else made.

“Plain cheese pizza with black olives is the most underrated choice of pizza there is,” someone else said, defending Penny’s pizza choice.

Regardless of whether you’re an olive pizza stan or not — reportedly the salty condiment is a health and beauty staple that dates back to the time of the ancient Greeks.

Specifically, black olives are loaded with antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals in the body — which often accelerate aging and increase a person’s risk of heart disease and stroke.

They’re also loaded with vitamin E, healthy fats, fiber and minerals — all things that help with collagen production and cell function.

And if that wasn’t enough of a reason to maybe consider olives the next time you order pizza, they also help with menopausal symptoms — like hot flashes and mood swings.
