‘Young and the Restless’ Star Lauralee Bell Tries on 3 Dresses for Cricket’s Wedding (Exclusive)

The countdown is on for a major wedding on The Young and the Restless, and one actress needs your help.

Before Christine “Cricket” Blair (played by Lauralee Bell) marries Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) on the CBS soap opera, fans are getting the chance to decide what the bride will wear on her wedding day.

In an exclusive video obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, September 19, Bell, 56, collaborated with Young and the Restless costume designer Mandi Line to find the perfect dress.

“I loved getting the chance to revisit Cricket’s modeling roots for her big day,” Bell said in the clip, “and bringing in the fans to help decide on the final look just makes this all the more personal.”

Starting Friday, a poll will go live on Y&R’s official Instagram page via their Stories. Fans can then cast their vote just once for which gown Cricket should wear during her November wedding to Danny.

“Mandi and her team did amazing work with the designers to craft three beautiful options for Cricket’s wedding day,” Bell said. “Each design shows off a different aspect of Cricket’s personality while staying true to her playful and feminine signature. I just can’t wait to see which dress the audience chooses for me to wear at the wedding.”

Cricket and Danny first tied the knot in Hawaii during a 1990 episode. They parted ways, however, after rock singer Danny slept with fan Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

As of March 2024, Cricket and Danny were officially back together and the musician asked Cricket to marry him once again during a July episode.

When they walk down the aisle for the second time in November — the wedding episode date has yet to be officially announced — fans will see which dress won the vote.

“Lauralee was a dream,” Line said. “We really wanted to do a bodycon, a rock ’n’ roll and a little over the top [dress].”

Dress No. 1

“Dress No. 1 may look simple in bodycon,” Line teased, “but when she walks down that aisle, it will be the glitz and the glam of Genoa City.”

Dress No. 2

“How do you combine rock ’n’ roll, boho chic, ethereal and angel? Oh, that would be dress No. 2,” Line explained. “Simple, gorgeous, not over the top but definitely made a statement when she walked through the door.”

Dress No. 3

“How did I come up with dress No. 3? I got two words for you,” Line said before referencing Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City character. “Carrie Bradshaw.”

The Young and the Restless airs on CBS weekdays. The wedding dress poll will be open for 24 hours on Y&R’s Instagram Stories beginning on Friday, September 19, at 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET.
