I’ve read almost every Elin Hildebrand book, but The Five Star Weekend was by far my favorite. So when it was turned into a show starring Jennifer Garner, I was completely glued to my screen. (I binged it all in one night.) As a Nantucket-frequenter, the show really nailed the mix of nautical and preppy fashions. The looks were not only easy and breezy, but very attainable too. In fact, after watching the whole series, I began looking for ways to recreate the characters’ styles. Lucky for you, I found a lot!
Bring your own Five Star Weekend dreams to life with these gorgeous pieces I found at Amazon, Nordstrom, Quince and more.
17 Summer Fashion Pieces Inspired by ‘The Five Star Weekend’
1. A Little Chilly: Nantucket is known for the cold nights. Stay comfortable, just like the guests of The Five Star Weekend, with this lightweight striped sweater. It even comes in Nantucket red!
2. Keep It Chill: It’s unsurprising that Tatum McKenzie, the childhood friend, keeps her style casual throughout the show. Embody her relaxed vibe with this button-down shift dress.
3. Vacation Trousers: Dru-Ann is always on the clock, even when on vacation. Her fashion choices reflect that, but she’s able to go business casual in flowy patterned trousers.
4. Print of the Summer: Brooke Kirtley can’t get enough of her Lily Pulitzer dresses, and we think it matches her vibrant personality. Copy her style with this floral print sleeveless dress. It’s worth the splurge!
5. Spot On: This sunset-inspired orange sundress is nearly identical to the one Gigi wore while the girls were out exploring downtown Nantucket.
6. Follow the Dress Code: Hollis Shaw loves a theme, and so do we! Keep her vision alive by wearing this pretty smocked pink sundress while perusing the town square with your girlfriends.
7. Closet Staple: The beauty of this striped button-down? It’s one of those pieces you’ll be able to wear year-round, not just during the summer.
8. Slumber Party! What’s better than a dance party with your girlfriends? I know — wearing matching pajamas. This affordable set is softer than a cloud.
9. Summertime Blouse: If Hollis Shaw’s dress code made you realize you don’t own enough pink, this ruffled blouse is the perfect thing to add to your wardrobe. It instantly brightens up any complexion.
10. Halter of Our Dreams: Halter tops are one of the most flattering silhouettes. This burnt orange design is made with ruffles galore and features a delicate rose that doubles as a built-in accessory.
11. Easy Breezy: The easiest way to achieve New England vibes? Throwing on this vintage-wash tiered maxi skirt. It looks effortlessly chic, even when worn with a white tee.
12. Preppy Queen: All of the women in The Five Star Weekend have different body types, yet we have no doubt they’d all look incredible in this stretchy smocked peplum top.
13. Peachy Keen: Add a pop of color to your bottoms collection with these fun coral capris that scream summer.
14. Eye-Catching! We are obsessed with these gold platform heels. Instead of wearing them through cobblestone streets like Dru-Ann, maybe save them for a time when the ground will be more even.
15. Orange Creamsicle: Keep things simple yet statement-making in this dreamy striped orange skirt set. You’ll feel like a ray of sunshine every time you wear it.
16. Dual-Purpose: This super preppy striped mini dress can easily be worn on its own — but it also doubles as a stylish beach coverup.
17. Kitschy Yet Cute: People on Nantucket love a chunky sweater, especially when it’s made with a lobster design!
