Brittany Mahomes is reflecting on how life has changed since becoming a mom of three to her and husband Patrick Mahomes’ children.
“Being a mom changed so many things in my life and changed how I looked at so many things,” Brittany, 30, told Yahoo Entertainment in an article published on Wednesday, June 24. “It really reshaped and redefined a lot of things in my life.”
She continued, “It’s made me more intentional, more purposeful and, honestly, more motivated to keep going and keep showing my kids that there are no boundaries in front of you. You can achieve anything. You can be a part of anything that you want to. You need to dream big and understand that you have to work hard and do the hard things to do the fun things.”
Brittany explained that she’s now striving to align herself with things that connect to her values and the example she wants to set for her three children.
“I think when you become a mom, you learn to say no to things that aren’t as important and focus on what’s best for your life and your family,” she said.
Brittany and Patrick, 30, became parents when they welcomed daughter Sterling in 2021. The high school sweethearts have since welcomed son Bronze and daughter Golden in 2022 and 2025, respectively.
The pair have since given glimpses of parenthood — and how they balance work with raising their children.
“At the end of the day, my kids are watching me, and I want them to know that I’m working hard,” she told Yahoo!Life in February 2024. “I’m out here doing things as well, because they noticed their dad’s gone all the time. And he’s working hard and doing stuff that he loves. So, I want them to see both of us going out and conquering the world.”
The NFL player, who tied the knot with Brittany in 2022, has also been candid about navigating his career with parenthood.
“Everybody sees the game days. They don’t see the day-to-day grind. They don’t see how you have to manage playing football and being a dad and being a husband,” Patrick confessed during a 2023 episode of Netflix’s Quarterback docuseries, which documented the 2022 NFL season.
While reflecting on one of his team’s losses, Patrick shared that the game isn’t what’s paramount in his life.
“It’s football. You’re gonna have highs. You’re gonna have the lows,” he said at the time. “You put so much into this that you want to win, you want to succeed. And you want to win that Super Bowl at the end of the year. But I have to be a dad too. I have to be a husband.”
