Bachelor in Paradise is switching things up for season 10.
ABC announced on Tuesday, April 22, that the Bachelor spinoff will be set in Costa Rica — instead of Mexico — this summer.
Previously, the series filmed at Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico, where the cast would often complain about the lack of AC — and the crabs.
Hosted by Jesse Palmer, the new season will also feature season 15 Bachelorette Hannah Brown in a new role. “Unforgettable moments will be served with a twist with Wells Adams returning as bartender, joined by Hannah Brown bringing the bubbly to rose ceremonies in the all-new Champagne Lounge,” the press release states.
After taking last summer off, the network confirmed in March that Paradise would return with alums from the Bachelor, Bachelorette and the Golden franchises.
“For the first time ever, Golden men and women will be hitting the beaches of Paradise alongside all of your Bachelor and Bachelorette favorites of seasons past,” host Jesse announced at Grant Ellis’ After the Final Rose last month. “So how is this whole thing going to work? You’re going to have to tune in to find out when an all-new Bachelor in Paradise premieres this summer.”
So far, only five names have been announced for the new season: Golden Bachelor runner-up Leslie Fhima, Golden Bachelorette alum Gary Levingston, Bachelorette season 21 contestants Jonathan Johnson and Hakeem Moulton and Bachelor season 29 second runner-up Zoe McGrady.
“I cannot wait,” Leslie said on the broadcast. “Beaches are my thing. And I’m so excited to be with my old friends, make new friends and just maybe find love.”
While fans will have to tune in to see which love connections are made, Bachelor season 29 alum Alexe Godin previously told Us that she was down to join BiP — and knew fans were shipping her with Jonathon.
“I keep hearing from people that Jonathon and I would make a cute couple,” she said earlier this year. “I went to hug him tonight and he said, ‘Don’t hug too tight, people are going to scream.’ I have heard really good feedback from people that he is a really good guy, so who knows? I keep saying, him and Tanner [Courtad] [are] cute, I think we can all agree.”
Bachelor in Paradise will air on ABC later this summer.
