Get ready to welcome the world’s friendliest beaver to the Deep South.

Buc-ee’s — known for its clean bathrooms and huge locations — will open up a brand new spot in Louisiana on Nov. 9. The 74,000-square-foot store will mark the first ever for the state.

Located at Interstate 10 and Louisiana Ave., Lafayette, LA, the newest travel center will have 120 fueling positions and some customers’ favorites like Texas BBQ, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky and more.

“This I-10 Louisiana location is finally happening, and we could not be happier to be here in Lafayette. From Texas to Florida, Buc-ee’s is the perfect place to stop for clean restrooms and great BBQ, over and over again,” Stan Beard, Buc-ee’s director of real estate and development, said in a press release.

The new Lafayette stop will bring a ton of new jobs — about 200 full-time positions to the area — with starting pay beginning above minimum wage. Employees will see full benefits, a 6% matching 401K and three weeks of paid vacation.

In fact, some managers can even make up to $275,000, as a recent job posting revealed a range of salaries and positions available. A sign was posted outside a location that showed “no experience [is] necessary” with a slew of other perks.

The mega-sized convenience hub and gas station opened its first location back in 1982, giving Texans a simple and clean place to fill up their tanks. Over its 40-year run, the chain has developed a cult-like following — turning a simple pitstop into a fun tourist trap.

Each location is massive and typically occupies 50,000 and 74,000 square feet. Tourists from across the globe hit up its massive gift shop, full-scale food market and snap a shot with its famous mascot. The bronzed, smiling beaver with an adorable red and yellow baseball cap is named Buc-ee.

This latest Louisiana spot is just one of 15 stores that have been added to its lineup between now and 2031.

Following the opening of Louisiana, the general store now has 57 stores across Texas and the US. This puts the now-iconic Buc-ee’s across Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia and Ohio.
