Candace Cameron Bure is putting back on her amateur detective hat in Great American Pure Flix’s fourth installment of The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries franchise, Us can exclusively reveal.

“I’ve always loved solving a good mystery, but what I love the most about Ainsley is how fiercely loyal she is,” Cameron Bure, 50, exclusively tells Us, confirming that she is currently filming The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Model Maker. “I love how she’ll do whatever it takes to help the people she loves, and I see a lot of myself in her that way.”

The actress adds, “Getting to play her time and time again alongside such an incredible cast and crew makes every film even more special.”

Cameron Bure will reunite with Aaron Ashmore and Robin Dunne for an all-new 2027 mystery inspired by bestselling author Candace Havens’ characters, and Us has the exclusive first look at the cast on set.

“One of the greatest joys of building a mystery franchise has been watching a growing audience care about the characters,” the Full House alum exclusively tells Us. “These stories have become more than standalone mysteries, we’re inviting viewers back to Sweet River to spend time with friends they love.”

Cameron Bure will reprise her role as criminology professor and amateur sleuth Ainsley McGregor in Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: The Model Maker as her character prepares for a “prestigious university exhibition honoring pioneering forensic scientist Frances Glessner Lee and her famed miniature crime-scene dioramas,” according to a network press release.

“But when a murder shocks Sweet River, Ainsley is drawn into an investigation where carefully constructed models may hold the key to the truth — and where the evidence begins to point dangerously close to home,” the logline reads. “As the case deepens, Ainsley turns to those she trusts most, including Sheriff Ryan McGregor (Dunne) and Fire Chief Jake Trenton (Ashmore) while the ever-curious Book Club once again lends its unique blend of determination, humor, and hometown intuition to the case.”

The network teases, “Together, they must unravel a mystery built on secrets, deception, and a crime scene that may be far more than it appears.”

Cameron Bure notes in the press release that the new mystery “delivers the twists and suspense fans love, while exploring something deeply personal: the universal desire to belong.”

She reveals that the story will keep viewers “guessing until the end and stays with you long after the final reveal.”

Cameron Bure, who is also an executive producer on the project, exclusively shares with Us that “one of the greatest compliments we can receive is when viewers come back for the next mystery” and she hopes that trend will continue after fans see the fourth installment of the whodunit.

“[The return viewership] tells me they’re invested not only in solving the case but in the people and the world we’ve created,” she explains. “Watching the Ainsley McGregor audience grow with every installment has been incredibly exciting, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the loyal fans who continue to join us on the journey.”

Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: The Model Maker premieres on Great American Pure Flix, Great American Family and GFAM+ in early 2027.
