Could ‘Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage’ Introduce Another Pregnancy Ahead of Upcoming Split? (Exclusive)

While Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage is building toward a split between the two leads, could the show introduce another pregnancy first?

During the Warner Bros. Television Group’s Emmy Party on September 13, Montana Jordan didn’t rule it out, saying, “I mean, they could pop another one out.”

Jordan’s costar Jessie Prez showed his support for the idea. “Uncle Ruben is about to clock in,” he quipped.

The duo noted that they didn’t know too far ahead about where the story is heading.

“I don’t want to know when [Georgie and Mandy] break up yet. I prefer to be surprised,” Prez added. “It’s interesting, when we get the scripts, we usually get the scripts the night before. We never know what’s happening.”

Jordan, meanwhile, weighed in on the last-minute swaps, adding, “The reason for that is because the scripts change every day. They don’t want us to memorize one version of the script. It changes everyday.”

Viewers originally met Georgie (Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) on The Big Bang Theory prequel series, which aired from 2017 to 2024. After Sheldon’s (Iain Armitage) older brother grew up on screen, Young Sheldon paved the way for a spinoff by introducing his love interest, Mandy.

Georgie and Mandy’s story wasn’t the meet-cute some of Us might have expected. When they crossed paths in season 5, Georgie was 17 but lied that he was 21, while 29-year-old Mandy pretended to be 25. The truth came out eventually, but by then Georgie and Mandy realized they were expecting their first child.

Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage picked up as Mandy reconnected with her estranged mother, Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones), and father, Jim (Will Sasso). Mandy and Georgie — and baby CeCe — subsequently moved in with her parents, which allowed their age gap to be consistently referred to on the show.

Jones previously spoke about how the show will continue to make an effort to point out the main couple’s age difference.

“It is interesting because [Mandy’s mother] Audrey is [like] a lot of audience members. A lot of fans are like, ‘What the hell? He’s 10 years younger than she is. This is wrong,’” Jones exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2024. “Audrey is the one who agrees that this is wrong and this should not be happening.”

Jordan, for his part, addressed suspicion that the show title hinted at Georgie and Mandy ending their marriage on screen.

“We all know there’s an inevitable breakup in the future. As the title says [this is] the first marriage,” Jordan shared with Us that same month. “But whether we know [about] the second marriage or third marriage [is a different story].”

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage returns to CBS on Thursday, October 16, at 8 p.m. ET and episodes are currently streaming on Paramount+.
