Brady Harmon reflected on the loss of his four children three months after their mother, Sarah Myers, and their grandmother, Amy Steadman, killed them in a horrific murder-suicide.
Harmon discussed the heartbreak while sharing a police update that revealed his kids Harper, 13, Hudson, 11, and twins Gavin and Gracelynn, 10, were fatally poisoned with allergy medications and an ingredient in gas-station heroin.
“According to the timeline provided by police last month, it has been 90 days since my children—Harper, Hudson, Gavin, and Gracelynn — were taken from me.,” he wrote in a Facebook post on September 11, before referring to the acts of his ex-wife, Myers, 44, and Steadman, 64. “I will never understand how two people who claimed to love and care about these children could deliberately cause them such unimaginable harm.”
He added that “the pain is still as raw as if it happened yesterday,” and that the toxicology report makes “it even more sickening to understand what was done to them.”
As Us previously reported, the toxicology report showed that Myers and Steadman killed the four children with diphenhydramine, the ingredient in Benadryl, and kratom.
Kratom is a psychoactive herbal extract that produces opioid-like effects, and it is known as a “gas station drug” because it is sold legally and widely. However, it can be fatal in high doses.
“Harper, Hudson, Gavin, and Gracelynn were innocent. They deserved to feel safe. They deserved to grow up, chase their dreams, celebrate birthdays, reach milestones, and live the lives that were stolen from them,” Harmon continued.
He went on to say that he still misses “them every second.”
“And I will continue speaking their names and fighting to make sure their lives — and what happened to them — are never forgotten,” he concluded. “Harper. Hudson. Gavin. Gracelynn. Forever my children. Forever loved.”
Harper, Hudson and Gracelynn all died after they were poisoned at their home in Mechanicville, New York, on June 10. Meanwhile, Gavin was fatally stabbed when he tried to defend himself against Myers and Steadman.
Myers and Brady were in a bitter custody battle at the time of the murder-suicide. Harmon, who lives in Utah, was preparing to see his children in person for the first time since 2019 when they were killed.
Authorities said that Myers and Steadman left behind letters at the crime scene, and Myers claimed that Harmon was abusive to her and their children. She also reportedly claimed in the note that she killed the kids so that she could protect them from Harmon’s alleged abuse. (Harmon has denied ever abusing his kids or Myers).
